Wow, 1:1 guy to gal ratio early this morning. This looks promising for today.
Oscar - Red Omni is back, he's a bear and saying don't fall in love with the upside. I'm not kidding. A good video worth watching, repeating reasons discussed last night, namely Iwm double top and bearish formation in DJT. In addition, he has a head test in the Qs taking place that he expects will fail and lead the Qs below the Feb low levels. Today, he's short NQ 1853 with target in the 1820's.
Cobra - black bars should be a near term top. Chart posted last night. Visit his site, he's awesome.
IT - ITws (watchlist) added two more shorts last night - CREE and DTG. I'll let you know if ITms (strategist) takes those trades, which implies a higher probability of success. Believe yesterday was likely a turnaround day and high pivot; if not, then 113.3 should be firm R. Note the double top intraday, the vol sell into the close (tute participation) and close on the low. 112.75 (hod) is now S. Note likley key reversal in USO. Think UUP is trying to breakdown as it keeps hitting the 20dma. Waiting a bit to add Bidu short, 'my favorite short candidate right now.'

Carl - The lone bull. Today's range estimate is 1116-1130. Range so far has been 1115-9. 1130 was his target before a small correction, I believe. * * * This is totally the wrong time and place for this but, when you have three minutes, watch this music video. Pretty amazing. blog.makezine.com/archive/2010/03/rube_goldberg_music_video.html

UK, feel guilty taking the board breath from B:G 1:1 to B:G 4:1...sorry,,,karma
being cautious here, as futures have climbed since last night, not convinced that tutes are here in force...still in ADRs and a few select leaders

Note the DX - starting lower. It's been starting higher almost every day and then dropping during market hrs, in turn lifting indices. Not today, so far.
I think IT is right, the UUP has short term weakness. Note the double top on the hrly chart. The 50 and 200dmas are both near the 23.2ish pivot.

USO - that reversal candle yesterday was bearish. 39.2 is firm R. Very tempting to scalp a short if we get a pop this am. DX is the key, of course. Gld also reflecting DX weakness.

UK we may have a bit more downside on the dollar, based on the news coming out of Greece/Europe - I could see the Euro heading up to the descending 20day moving avg around $136.93 (see Rob's chart below - on the left side) but not much further than that. I have a great monthly Euro chart I'll post in that monthly thread we have going. We also have a Euro pivot at 136.7 which you can see above on the 15-min chart, that held price in check on the last rally

Good Morning, Here is your Merrill Morning Minute: FAS bias this morning, remaining cautious as there is not convinving volume behind this move again…Bllomberg stated that the retail investor will likely drive this run to technical levels, then the shorting by the tutes will begin Hold on one minute, The dead horse…ah nevermind IBD again states we’re in a confirmed uptrend, I agree but need more confirmation Tute participation ratings still stuck on “E” or now “D-“ Wonder where the markets would be without these M&As or positive jobs data Will ad more shortly GLTA
Krypt, TY again

Stock futures have garnered modest support in recent action, such that a mildly higher start looks to be in order for the major equity averages. Though such an advance would be moderate, it would nonetheless put the stock market on track for its fourth straight gain. The slightly improved mood of premarket participants comes as Europe's major bourses make a move into positive ground after they spent the first part of their session mixed in the wake of Greece's long-awaited plan to cut its deficit. An in-line ADP Employment Change Report did little for premarket participants, but the February ISM Service Index (10:00 AM ET) is still to come, followed by the Fed's Beige Book (2:00 PM ET).

Wow...once again these market makers are really screwed up people...run it up into the announcement then unload your inflated shares on the market, leaving the little guy holding the bag
Rob was just pointing out that it was likely a stop run to take out the buy orders just above yesterday's high - he says a lot of "breakout traders" leave buy stops up at key points, the MM's figure out where they are and move the markets to take 'em out. I've seen this debated though, I'm sure it'd be hard to prove that "they" do this.
Feeling good on that VXX trade now - just need X and AKS to come back down to earth - that'd bring my capitulation rating down below 6 (currently 8.0)

He says the MMs see the pile up of orders, hit them then reverse. Fidelity is implementing a system where they will keep your limit orders in house, out of the MMs view, until the price gets hit. They're a pretty good crew, imo.
