Holy crappasaurus Rex now that's doom if I ever saw it. Don't know what else to say. Closed out my mobi short calls for .05. Gives me opportunity to re-hedge as that one is used up no need to wait till opex for the final few percent. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of new and improved smileys!

no one wants to post. I am waiting on the final tallies from my old man on how we did with our options plays but it should be a crime on how much I think it is going to be. This was one of the single best days, and yesterday, of my trading career. I can't help it so sorry for rubbing in at the expense of others loses so i respect everyone but, WOW!!!! Incredible day for the bears and for traders n general that got this move right from 10 days ago. I think tomorrow could be a lot of major short covering in the afternoon so be nimble out there tomorrow. Plenty of opportunities to make some dough. GL!

My Dog ate my sock a few weeks ago and this morning she puked it up! I thought it had gone out the other end, but… I think it was a signal of the day to come. I have puked up most of my positions these past few days. Wish I had the sense to follow Maxi when she went all in cash last week. Presently, 50 % in, 50 % out (cash)-- 25 %clf, 10% pot/allrf, and a bit of sd, exk, bip (bip, is the only one that is doing fine) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ my line in the sand, not sure if I can defend it—or if I should try to defend it Commodity, congrats on your great trades, I always read your posts. You are really generous to share tips here---

Well, I'll say this.. The $70 profit I took 20 seconds before the close yesterday would have been -$3,200 today. I took a huge (for me) loss on Monday... It sucked, but realizing what my account would look like had I not bailed... Wow. I feel fortunate.

I mentioned yesterday that I bought a teensy bit of MOS. I have to tell u guys. It was 25 shares. And I dumped it premarket. Loss 25 bucks. No cost to trade. I had free trades from the TDA freeze up yesterday morning. I do feel like a total fool for not once pushing the buy button on TZA today.. (Or any of the past ten days! )

Just laid on the couch with an ice pack on my swolen sinus/gum and ate ibuprofen and said DAMN!!!!!! Jobs report should be good tomorrow. Maybe?
Job search engine LinkUp.com released its 60-day job forecast today based on nearly 1,000,000 job openings indexed each month from over 20,000 company websites. MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Job search engine LinkUp.com released its 60-day job forecast today based on nearly 1,000,000 job openings indexed each month from over 20,000 company websites. Based on data from May and June, LinkUp is predicting that the July jobs report issued by the Labor Department on August 5th will be better than economists are expecting. Completely unique in the industry, LinkUp's job search engine only indexes job listings from company websites, making its data highly correlated to future hiring.
Consensus estimates for this Friday's jobs report forecast that non-farm payrolls grew by only 75,000 in July. While that would be an improvement from May and June's anemic job growth, roughly 200,000 new jobs are needed each month to simply keep pace with population growth. LinkUp, however, is forecasting that 105,000 jobs were created in July. Even more encouragingly, the search engine is forecasting that 150,000 jobs will be added in August.

Took a bit of a hit today but not as bad had I not yesterday sold all of my BOX and half of my DD. Today, I was completely whacked by AAU.... Portfolio off 8%..... I had a great day on the golf course after a month and a half off due to a back injury. It made losing money a little more palatable! I was in the grocery store today, saw a 5-pack of Mich Ultra along with 3 golf balls for $5......not sure what kind of balls.
