gotta keep ahead of those damn tomato-peckin' birds. Was at the ex-gfriend's house and asked her why she had tin-can lids hanging around tomato plants - she said they were to keep away tomato-peckin' birds.

Thanks Jack. Thanks Clint. Why? Whats your thinking? Jim Rogers made the case, the only tool central banks have left is printing more money. He says plan on inflation so Im buying inflation plays. get em while they are cheap.

I have 2" wide x 4' long mirrored mylar streamers hanging from the 7' high cages, but the plants have obscured them and consequently their value as a deterrent is diminished. It was the same w/ nuclear deterents in the Cold War. We'd do one thing...the Russians would counter it w/ another...then we'd do another, etc. Its like evolution. Thought about putting out the plastic owl but got a hummingbird feeder in the area and don't wanna scare them off... Thanks for the tin lid idea I'll put that in the bag of tricks.

Maxie, send Jack a pic of how the sides work so it wont be as much work as Jack is thinking it is to get to the plants. Also Jack, hang styrofoam plates. I see people doing that too.

Took a bit of a hit today but not as bad had I not yesterday sold all of my BOX and half of my DD. Today, I was completely whacked by AAU.... Portfolio off 8%..... I had a great day on the golf course after a month and a half off due to a back injury. It made losing money a little more palatable! I was in the grocery store today, saw a 5-pack of Mich Ultra along with 3 golf balls for $5......not sure what kind of balls. Probably Pink Ladies.... ;D Only messin with you....
