I gotta tell you folks. You MAY be able to scalp a little on the short side here (why not) but IMHO we will see this close above $51 today and then we get the earnings call. I think it goes to $48 after earnings going back in short now Congratulations to V!!! He was right with this one.

it looks like they shattered the estimates this is BS selloff On a GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) basis, operating income in the fourth quarter of 2010 increased to $488.7 million, compared to $43.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2009. The increase in operating income was principally due to stronger results across our portfolio of properties in Macau and the U.S., and operations at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, which opened in April 2010. Adjusted net income increased to $340.1 million, or $0.42 per diluted share, compared to $20.9 million, or $0.03 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2009. I missed $46.20 - I bought at $47.28 - so what if I few dopes sold - I'll see how the conference call goes. They did beat the 38 cents consensus number. In any case the accounting numbers are often misleading and EBITDAR is more indicative. If it gets much uglier I could be feeling bad tomorrow.

assuming that their earnings estimates haven't been affected by anything, the growth rate here is still phenomenal.
i would think that by itself means it is a good BTFD candidate, but we are still talking a stock where longer term holders have made a crazy amount. i would not completely throw a big washout out the window. i'll be covering some on the open either way, but i'd be wary of making any large bets here

Yea V wins and no one notices Cos over in the corner sneaking out of the room with his bag of very safe and secure loot. Yeah I was wondering about that and trying to visualize your options play. So you are down like .50 on your shares but up $2.50+premium on the calls you wrote right.. does it matter which way the stock goes from here as to what way you make more money, or is it that you really need it to close either above $50 or below $48 (so thus you want it just to just keep going one direction)? Still can't get used to interpretting the spreads quickly

Still can't get used to interpretting the spreads quickly Actually above 50 or below 50. The way you frame this Bros is you have X contracts you can sell, week after week. Lets say you have 1000 shares, so 10 contracts. Well, LVS will generally provide enough strikes and volatility to give you a call at or over $1 that's OTM every week. So if you pick the strikes right, there's $1K a week in premiums. You don't worry about the share prices, that's just your vehicle to the options contracts. If you truly wanted to hedge the actual shares, you would buy LEAP puts somewhere.

go to 888options.com and register and do the online courses and tests... then watch what some of us are doing (or in my case trying), and ask along the way.

fwiw - monopoly world: *AH TRADE* - placing 2 limit orders buy to cover 2500 LVS @ $47 buy to cover 2500 LVS @ $46.75 Vol is high enough where these orders would eventually get chipped away **assuming the stock price goes under these prices on decent volume** Current stock price $47.35ish - I will post the "tickets" with timestamps if I think it would execute...
