Looks like dip buyers are hungry for more. I've been on the fence since 1060... I'm not sure where this is headed yet. Feels like retail shorts are capitulating, but the pros are still waiting. Also, buying is weak. Going to either break up hard or kill over... waiting...waiting...waiting...

Euro's a drag on the "break-out" (I use that word sparingly here lol!)
Did BP secure the new cap yet? Oh great - Bloomberg just reported that its unclear whether the new cap can withstand the pressure erupting at the well-head!!! W T F???
Don't those assholes test shit before they employ them???

Had another thought...my brain is thinking about as quickly as this market is moving... If we do break out, I anticipate that we will move about 20-30 S&P points and then re-trace to this level before marching on to higher levels. We are either creating a nice support zone, or topping...

We are either creating a nice support zone, or topping... Okay...one more! If we do top out here, then I fully expect a potential drop that is fast and furious. Remember those charts I put out a few weeks ago regarding this move tracking perfectly with the 2007-2009 move. Well, according to the historical blueprint, Friday or Today is supposed to be the top, we should then move sideways to downward for 3 days and then a mini-cliff for 1-3 days. After that, a nice 2-4 day bounce and then the death drop... Will be interesting to see if the selling/shorting starts... If not, we are in a 20-40 point box for 2 weeks.

Vol - a lot if being made of vol being light. I think it is hard to distinguish between pros being undecided and being on vacation. Vol last week was generally above 200m/day in Spy; last July, it was even less than that, as was the case in March in April. I agree it makes for an unstable market but unstable markets can run to new highs, as we have seen. For now, sideways action after last week's gains is positive; gains are very bullish. As they say, markets correct through time and/or price.

Morning high at tick +1100; low at tick -1200. Now back at +1100 (new hod). Spy above vwap. But breadth is not healthy; vol is strong (1.5:1 pos on Nq) but issues is 2:1 neg on Ny and Nq.

This is a super important zone for both short and long. We are at the top-end of the zone I am watching 1060-1080. Waiting to see which side breaks with conviction... Makes sense that things look strange, lack of commitment to both either side.
