Vix is obviously down strongly. Getting below 25 would be needed to change the uptrend with a lower L, imo.
I think one reason we are rallying today (I was surprised Cobra didn't mention this) is the preponderance of low ticks yesterday. We had 5 separate -1400 ticks yesterday, which I don't think I've seen before. So here's your counter move. We need to hold gains to the close otherwise it's just more crappy price action. I do like this uptrend in 60' MAs. Have to start somewhere.

Carl - I was anticipating weakness early in today's pit session but instead the market has rallied from the open. This is strong action and makes me believe that the low of the regular trading session has been established at 1024.75. I still think today's range will be 20-25 points so I am now anticipating a high in the 1045-50 zone. Where's DM? On vacation in HI...Waikiki

EEM - this has been stronger than US markets, which is somewhat strange. In serious downturns, EMs get smoked as they are risky and have high commodity component. India has helped tremendously. EEM is at key R with the necktie is MAs. Getting above would be bullish. The declining 50dma is a concern, but the 20dma is rising. Keep it tight. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

There was some small squeeze action on the first break of 1043. Then to Snap's point a retest of 1040 so far successful.
IF (big IF), we can hold up here, I do expect a covering squeeze as we get into the low 1050's.
Just don't trust nothin...

He's in HI and not checking the PPDT? WTF! He is checking progress on Chateau Cosmic. There's a place in Los Alamos where we put all the excess and unwanted lab equipment (hopefully not radioactive). Its called " The Hole." I'd like to nominate that name for the new domain you are entertaining - thx.

LOL great name, but I dunno... Not sure it keeps with our theme. I was thinking like The Fascropolis LOL!!! - sounds a little "Greek" to me! But its moniker was a place to worship the Gods (namely Athena who used to run down stags a lot). Is that our theme?

What is the Chateauholopolis? This is greek to me.
I think holding above the well placed R1 and the wedge top rail after a strong uptick is very bullish. This is right when we normally start to fade, so if it breaks, expect the rats to flee the ship.

Scratch that I was thinking of Artemis (not Athena) and the stag parties she used to hold.
