I might actually get that 46.65 on the Qs. That and a green Vix would make my day. Q sell vol is very impressive.

ITMS, key double top, hitting key R, SPY 114/15, not enough strength to push thru, vol up but cannot get thru 52 week high, what is driving this market GS/JPM, fncl/TECH CSCO/APPL, in spirit on bear flag in intraday...drop poss to trnedline at 144.70 dma, minor 114.65 then 114.5 50 dma...PP lows on GAP down 113.9 level...gap down rev to upside, better vol, but nothing to write home about...tues not playing ball, waiting to sell into the rally, up not vol, bearish, everyone and their mother is wauting to short at 115 level...could fake out everyone, if all waiting for that level...this may not work for amateurs...join the research center... yada yada, yada

I would give Jack's remaining nut for the Qs to close below 46.65. I would give both if we could get it back from his first wife.

Stocks have extended their afternoon retreat and now stand at the flat line. Meanwhile, with few exceptions, commodities traded modestly lower for most of the session. To that point, the CRB Commodity Index closed 0.6% lower.
Precious metals prices recovered from session lows as the dollar index pared its gains from early in the session. April gold closed fractionally lower at $1121.80 per pounce after trading nearly 1.5% lower in the morning. May silver actually closed 0.4% higher at $17.34 per ounce after being down in excess of 2% in the morning.
Crude oil futures also hit lows early in the pit trade but recovered as the dollar gave up its gains. April crude oil finished 0.5% lower at $81.49 per barrel.
April natural gas, on the other hand, opened the pit session at a session high but traded lower for most of the session. It closed down just a penny at $4.52 per MMBtu.DJ30 +0.00 NASDAQ +2.67 SP500 -0.24 NASDAQ Adv/Vol/Dec 1370/2.15 bln/1255 NYSE Adv/Vol/Dec 1629/824 mln/1417

This FAS bagholder is hyperventilating. Somebody knows what they were doing: I sold 1/5 of my position at 84.19. Was about to hit sell on half of the remainder at 83.80ish.
Asked myself: "What would my Fastopia gurus do?" Answer: "I have no clue."
Bagholding instincts prevailed, and here we are. I got back a little of what I sold at 84.19 at 84.51.
I'm gonna keep watching and try not to throw up.

On the candle front, a few tid bits jump out:
Qs - bullish. Closed above the Jan highs and yesterdays hod. Trans - Bullish. Closed above the Jan high, but needs a second close to confirm. Vix - second black bar in a row. Bearish for equities. It's the one joker in the deck right now. USO - second day in a row we touched near 40 and sold off. DIA - three flat closes in a row. Flat top, all well below Jan highs. Trans leads but industrials still need to confirm, and they aren't. GS - that is a bearish candle. Long high wick, body in the bottom 1/4. Looks like the one from Feb 3. Dropped $10 next two days.
