What are the odds that JPM posts a bad number? After all, they own gigantic HFT machines right across the street from the NYSE and have hijacked the markets price discovery mechanisms and report near perfect trades with GS. Now, anything is possible with OPEX so Im gonna go with my gut and say BULL.

JPM will beat the lowered target big time. It remains to be seen what areas they are making their money from and whether or not they increase the dividend. If they increase the dividend then market will go crazy up, otherwise it will start moving down once GS provides with the result.

I was just looking at all the banks charts.
All triangles breaking to the upside.
A backtest of the trendlines is always a possibility, but I don't see it happening.
I think the bears are in trouble.

One more bull day tomorrow - again 100+ on the Dow - before B. Bernanke (which is an anagram of Banker Ben) opens his trap on Friday and ends the week on a down day.

Thinking of how this would be played, I still think we backtest before blowing through 1100 later on. But with opex, the most pain would most likely be capitulating bears before the backtest happened - and that sure didn't happen today when it easily could have with Intel's earnings.
How many up days do we have in a row? I'll guess we move up pretty much all day only to see a late day sell off (maybe what will look like a K....R day for comm).
Baby bear

even went to my BA( bears anonymous) meeting last night and no one showed up but me and 2 other guys...... ;D.................GLTA You live near Ken and Gap? I'm hedged for doom, but doubt it will happen and that's ok. The people saying we're up too many days forgot about the down too many days that preceded this and then forgot again about the up too many days that preceded that. This market is sickly, not healthy at all, and with low volume can be bullied in any direction at any time by a very small number of colluding players.

And a poll this biased to the bull has usually been doomish for the actual market.
I prefer to see it well centered.

Everyone has been bullish over the past 2-3 days, yes. Prior to that, everyone and their mother was bearish. Going whichever way the wind has blown. After the market goes down and retests (I still think 1040/50), everyone will be doooooooooooomy again. As the world turns. ;D The pundits / CNBC go whichever way the wind is blowing even MORE than our group does.
