I think small retrace tomorrow to test if the market can go down 50 without crashing. I'm looking for a baby bear, small percentage down movement. So long as any sell-down is contained at 2% or lower, then Green Arrow will most likely continue to validate.
Baby bear. Test time. (I'd prefer this scenario but can't deny the allure of the incessant grind upwards.)

Until we have a serious down day (not quite sure how I define that) I have only one way to vote. The sclerotic, arthritic bull continues it's amble forward!

It is kinda like an eggshell market, but that slow grind that Cos mentioned would be the most painful to the bears - those .25-.5% daily gains for the bulls that over a couple of weeks adds up to a nice gain/loss depending on which side you are on.....each day's change is not enough to change your outlook until you look back a couple of weeks. Throw in a couple of down days to keep the hope up for the short side.
I think tomorrow will be a little (baby bear) down day.

Baby Bull, but I too would prefer a small down day.... I'm pouring a pint of gas down the yellowjacket's hole now and lighting a match. The risk is that the gas line 5-7' away is still leaking is marginal (grass is growing above which is a telltale sign its okay). If I am wrong with this calculation and there's an unexpected explosion...nice knowing all you.

BTW, I think those are ground bees.

BBQ ground bees event was suspended anyway until further notice (didn't have enough gas in the can)...the Guvna has temporarily stayed the execution. lol!!!

Don't get arrested for making IED's Jack... ...more worried about Improvised Nuclear Devices (INDs) or Radiological Dispersal Devices (RDDs) aka "Dirty Bombs" in the Wash DC/NYC area than that. btw living in Arlington timber lives inside the thermonuclear blast zone as defined by Eisenhower and the limits of the Beltway - no kiddin'.

I'm thinking BULL. I'm waiting to see how the world markets and futures do tonight and then check out the Reuters/University of Michigan consumer confidence poll at 10AM. That should be a big tell for which way things are gonna go. Last time the poll was down and the market dumped. Signs are pointing to BULL at the moment!

Just to clarify, tomorrow's Consumer Confidence poll is NOT the Reuters/University of Michigan consumer sentiment poll. That poll comes out of Friday... sorry for the mix up. I'd still be watching at 10AM anyhow! smiles

Bear - they are hungry, and after today, demoralized. Perfect time for a down day to get their spirits up. Maybe even a close of 1099 to really get them excited?

I was looking at that chart until the wee hours of the morning. Broke the trend line, now we go for the horizontal resistance! Bull!

Big fat smelly BEAR tomorrow.
But I think it is more likely that we will trade sideways for the next few days before we break down.
Good luck everyone,
