At work I am the only doctor on shift, working with mainly high school grads; at home I spend my whole day with toddlers. I was really impressed and happy to find a forum where I could interact with intelligent, thoughtful people. |

It's never forever, and, in fact, I don't think any of us even take the "I'm leaving" posts seriously. I don't leave cuz I'm just a lurker anyway. After trying to hit day trader status, (oops, I mean, after trying to get enough money into my account so I didn't have to worry about day trader status), I've now liquidated my account for months except for the ones I'm too far negative in to bother selling. I jump in from time-to-time (like SOMX last week, thanks!) but am not good enough to do this for real. |

Common purpose and common goals. You are a special dude, Cosmic. Thanks Rich, compliment accepted but you can't see me blush or say to someone on IM "I don't deserve that." I admit I thought the wrap was unlikely to survive at first, but did it because curiously enough, people responded! And what impressed me the most was people posted good and bad. That's what makes Fastopians unique - their integrity. We've all done the bad trade, and what I saw was people consoling and helping others. Every time I thought 'This is silly' doing the wrap, I saw something like that happen, over and over again. I see so little of that in our old romping grounds. Good people move where there's more goodness, perhaps. |

SPX sold down to 832 on the eminis on a similar nasty channel and broke off at around 5am. SPX shows target of 875 is still the mark, it has not breached the main bank and should test the upper channel of 868. Looking at it in Waves for today: Wave 1 Start $7.25 to $8.00 Wave 2 Start $7.45 should go to around $8.30 Wave 3 Start $7.90 should go to around $8.80 I dont read the future I just show the facts based on probabilility. When I was in Vegas I saw I guy lose all in pre-flop AA vs AK offsuit for $20k. It does happen. Especially with OPEX week........this is very very volitile and will continue to be. They can swing it either way $1 in 15 minutes. Trade in your comfort zone either way. I reiterate my $12 call for FRI. Good Luck |

In fact, the action on Level 2 was exciting at many points as stocks attempted to rally multiple times. Unfortunately the buyers dried up. XLF saw predicted resistance/support at 10.54/10.56, which equated to the primary price channel FAS was in most of the day. Those that caught the PM price were rewarded if they sold after XLF broke past 10.54. The afternoon plunge correlates to the NYSE President stating it's a traders market, and there is not a lot of sideline money going long yet. I made some money on FAS, but not very much. A few dollars. My big score was a switch to FAZ and selling a bit prematurely at 9.10, however I made decent money on the trade. My bellweather stock appears to be struggling still due to Swine Flu, as vacationers are leery of travel at this point. It closed down .50 for a 2nd down day. I'm all cash with FAS/FAZ for the evening. Re: Cosmic's MarketPlace Wrap 28-Apr-09 04:31 pm all_me13 Still holding my FAZ from Friday AH and the smaller SRS position I chased yesterday near $27. Would like to get out of at least half my FAZ at 10 tomorrow with a nice 25% pop. |

Luckily it was not very many shares 5/4/2009 FAZ SOLD ALL $6.60 (-$1.60/-19.5%) 5/4/2009 FAZ BOUGHT BACK $7.85 5/1/2009 FAZ SOLD 1/2 @ $8.64 (+$.09/+1%/breakeven) 4/27/2009 FAZ BOUGHT $8.94 4/24/2009 FAZ BOUGHT $8.17 So I did get close to the 25% pop I was hoping for, just I was hoping for the good kind of pop. |

Hate it hate it hate it. Maybe I'll like it after the split. It won't be that cheap $5 whore that it is, it'll be a $50 whore, but with nicer lipstick. I'm going to move this into my blog later tonight - spent some hours this weekend going through and compiling a History of Fastopia by going through the Yahoo board back to its inception. I found 94 or 95 (can't remember off the top of my head) Fastopians' first posts and it was a lot of fun to go back and read through a lot of stuff. The YMB was pretty hard to search through for the longest time, but I finally discovered a trick.
Will be unleashing that once I have time to go through it a little bit - the WORD doc is like 80 pages. Really good stuff though as far as historical records go since we only date back to Feb 2010 here.
