Ah, so you think the missile launch was a diversion to their real mission of catching us off guard? I think they can't harm anyone for the next 2-3 years. They don't have the ability!

They have 1300 artillery pieces many within range of Seoul. www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military/news/north-korea-and-flattening-seoulThey are TOTALLY unpredictable - what makes sense to us foreign to them and vice versa. I have no idea what they will do - they are a black box in more ways than one.

Think about how very childish and selfish they are- blackmailing the world with bombs, instead of feeding their people, by any honest means. They are amazingly awful.

Apparently it was both a satellite AND a bomb. Saves a lot on fuel.
Somebody buy North Korea a BIG can of whoopass.

I think the missile's failure is more worrisome for world markets than if it had succeeded. A "cornered cat" as Jack says.
Had the thing worked as planned, it's a fair-sized military advance on their part, complete with a swelling of pride and perceived stature in the eyes of the world that they would want to milk at some continued bizarre diplomacy.
But now, who knows wtf they'll think and do? The uncertainty will hurt markets, I think.
