Hey Commod, I see a post dated today saying gold closed down over $3. Is there a typo or other error there? Gold hasn't closed for the day yet today, and isn't expecially down. It was up strongly yesterday so I can't figure out what you're referring to. Maybe you mean to say it opened down $3?

Due to me being on West coast most of the articles I post will most likely be later in the afternoon/evening so sorry to confuse.

Commod, I still don't understand. Are you saying your post dated today referred to yesterdays (Tuesdays) prices, or the previous day (Mondays) prices. Gold has been on a 4 day uptrend and has never been down $3 at any close that I can find. Can you provide me with specific dates, times and prices you are looking at so I can understand what I seem to be missing?
Sometimes gold futures at US equities market close of 4:00 are below what they were at 1:30 open outcry trading close, but are still up for the day although at the time the ticker might read down $3 from 1:30 to 4:00.

Now I got myself confused on the days. lol Sorry for the confusion Tender. I looked back and in fact the price I was referring to was the Wednesday early morning price. I was reading an article on Kitco late last night so yes, the price and backing off of gold I a referring to was after the close Tuesday.

Whew, OK, so the $3 down was today's open vs. yesterday's close then, today being Wednesday, if I have you right. Not to worry, I'm sure it will go down $3 again.

For the European posts, I always just put what day it was ("monday" or "tuesday") so that it doesn't confusing between "yesterday, today, etc"
