i have been very busy at work. you know when you are busy, you lose track of time, of people and of things that are meaningful and of value in your life. of course, we all take things for granted, even our tomorrows. at least most of us do. i was on a 24 hour shift on saturday when i heard my colleague passed away saturday at work. he was 6-7 years younger than me. he has 3 young children. i can only imagine their heartache as i read on facebook his liitle girl asking for her daddy to come back to her. it shook me to the core. i remembered when my father passed away. i was a grown woman. my sis and i clung to each other sobbing hard. this is only a little girl. as i ponder life's unpredictable course, i reflected on things, all things, and people who matter in this life. this message board is filled with people i have never met, people who try to help others find their way in the market and lend a helping hand. your commentaries have helped me many times. so i want to thank you now, wish you all a happy easter and passover, and pray that you all, with god's help, find answers to all your problems and dilemmas. may good fortune smile on you all. and most important of all, may you all be well. and pray for my departed colleague paul. may his soul rest in peace. fariba

Fari - you are one of the original Fastopians and one of our very noblest who works on a daily basis fighting to save the lives of premature babies in that Neonatal Unit of yours. Hearing this about your colleague is so sad....and understanding a little of how it has affected you and all those around him makes me sad....but then I think about ALL THOSE LIVES he saved during the course of his life and I say "Now that was a life worth living."
God bless you and thanks for doing what you do.
Jack

All good thoughts and wishes to you as well fariba. I hadn't known you are a neonatal nurse, what joy you bring to so many whose children you save.
