Should get my restored old helmet back in a few days Rich!!! Took the Yamaha L5T out today....seemed to get louder and louder until it was VERY embarrassing. Thought it was only because I had the half helmet on but when I got home took a look and the exhaust pipe had unscrewed itself from the engine's manifold! Bwahahahahahaaa!

If gas keeps going up I'm going to install ladder racks on the ninja.
I rode quite a bit during the heat wave, not too much this week although the weather has been seasonable, usually mid 50's.

I hate to take the '84 Chevy conversion van out w/ the 350cc engine in it...reminds me of the Exxon Valdez!

Mine gets maybe 10 miles a gallon. Yup - same w/ the Chevy - when I fill it up it puts a dent in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (and my wallet).

There's a new TV show about bunker builders.
They'll set you up real nice, 6 months worth of food water everything for a nominal fee. The cheapest ones were like 100 grand i think.

those people are convinced the end is coming.
I've been hearing about that since I was a boy. Remember the twilight zone and the guy who broke his glasses?

Yeh My Dad was the Civil Defense officer in the Greenwich Village, NYC 6th Precinct. That was back in the heyday of the Cold War. If it ever comes to that ya might as well just bend over and kiss yer ass goodbye.
