Wouldn't a natural backtest be the 2011 highs?? 50Dma is tracking in that vicinity as well. Keeping my eye on oil as they could use it as an indicator of what games we'll be playing. Last I recall there was a fairly decent sell down in the bigger oilcos over the last week. i'm lookin at this... Attachments:

I shall be buying this dip with both paws.
That is, if it still exists in the morning.

I think it is already a little overdone, but hate to see the dollar drop in sync, there might be a new lower equilibrium for a bit.

Thanks Taj, that looks good. Novice, where are you getting those London spot gold quotes, I can't find it anywhere. I can get the NY prices but I don't see where to get those numbers on this holiday. Try www.thebulliondesk.com/

There is a 34 point gap down from the close Friday to the open today. You think that gap is going to close any time soon? I think it's very possible, I've seen it before. Perhaps not the whole 34 handles. But if we are in a topping process (the jury is still out), it should take a little longer which means there will be a massive move upward. One thing for sure: It's not going straight down from here.

Euro just got clotheslined couple minutes ago, don't have screenshot capability right now. I wouldn't worry too much about the dollar and market down in synch, they have ways of taking that dollar back up.

Some bottoming tails at the 1373 support. Way oversold on the 4hr. Hugging the bottom of the BB's. Bulls better hope this reverses overnight or I think 1353 could be here within a couple days...

1386 is a key area imo. Will it back test so shorts can re-load or will the invisible hand step in to save the day once again? I honestly think that if they let this thing melt up to 1386 that it's gonna bust through and cause some massive short covering. I just can't see them letting this obvious of a pattern back test and confirm allowing longs to exit and shorts to pile on. If this pattern is to play out, it won't back test.

Target 1353.75. We hit 1354.25. I could easily be .5 points off on the target so I will venture to say that the minimum move has been met...
