before opex
i'm holding some SPY $124s that are looking to expire worthless - but even with the strong move today they have not even been tested yet. each time the market is near a daily top and ready for a push down, these calls pop pretty large
hasn't happened yet - i'm wondering if (read: assuming) we're going to see a big afternoon and big up day tomorrow

How soon you expecting it ERX?
If the move to 1250/75 that I'm been waiting for comes very quickly, I could easily see us touching up near 1300 like you're looking for; if it takes a couple weeks, that downtrend line will start chasing my target down though I feel

I think it will be slow. Like around latter part of December (to hit around 1300).
My reasons -
(1) We need to establish new sustainable bullish channels. We don't have one yet - all of the ones I see are too short term and too steep to be sustained; and
(2) economic data will take time to turn around (this will take a couple of months, at least);
I note that, usually, a recovery from a crash (even a mini crash) usually takes much more time than the crash itself.

I like to walk before I run. Calling for a 25% move in the market is a losing proposition no matter what IMO.
