I sold a lot of calls today - DRN, SQNM, SOL, NPBC all the things I'm holding. Sold August through October but mostly August & September. Most OTM strikes got a really nice boost today. I don't think the selling is completely over, although unless something more truly horrible happens, we'll swim around the 1105 pivot to the upside and downside for a while. I'd rather see the 1150 pivot hold for now but I'm not that delusional. It was hard work getting us here, it won't be given up easily. No other trades. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of smileys!

Another nice day of rehab for my post-apocalytic portfolio. Did a couple of nice option scalps in LVS. Still got a very very deep hole to dig out of if I want to see a net gain on the year.

Covered 1/3 of my FAZ short holding - avg $73.84, covered $56.45 / 23%
woo! ;D Still expecting further push up tomorrow where I'll be unloading the rest of those short shares and the couple FAS long shares I have to go with it from $13.56 .. I don't play with all that much money but my account has skied in the last couple weeks - don't want to get greedy and hold on too long

btw, saw Prector on Bloomberg today and he said........ bad stuff I thought he was kinda upbeat....the world is not gonna end this week or month, maybe even not this year. He didn't say anything about 2012 that I caught. No trades for me today...not sure whether to sh!t or go blind.

I capped my neighbor's addition and did some semi-complicated flashing work. Fell dead asleep when I got home, so now I'll be up all night.
What was the matter with your driveway, Jack?

Unsightly cracks in the slab which hadn't gotten the correct construction joint when laying (done way before my time here) and some differential settlement. Filled the cracks w/ a "Sika" mortar/grout from Home Depot (Sakrete's stuff I've learned is CRAP). Taped the cracks 1" away each side and troweled the mortar on and in...result looks better - in fact almost looks abstract! lol! Guess I'll cover it w/ Thompsons for it to shed water so maybe I ain't done with it yet come to think of it

An oak tree has sucked all the moisture out from my driveway and it has sunk to Geez!!! I got three 100' oaks within 20-25' of the driveway THAT doesn't bode well!!! Tell ya the truth when I do something like this kind of repair it usually means that SOMETHING's gonna destroy it completely and I'll have to hire a contractor to lay a new driveway. A 100' oak coming down on that drive might just do that! lol!!!

I tell ya Jack,I'm gona dig under it and Jack it up and pour some concrete and see what happens. Got 4 slabs to do. How big are the slabs? There are a number of different procedures you might use to fix that problem depending on the answer. There are contractors who would drill holes thru the slab and then pump grout down forcing the slab to rise (no shit!) Its prolly pricey but less than demo and laying new concrete. And I'd start laying down some water for that tree of yers - you owe it for the shade partner!!! lol!!!

Same problem - I don't think they pulled the rebar up into the pour the just let it settle around it so it's honeycombed underneath. We don't get freeze/thaw so most are tiny cracks - just really ugly. Send me a picture of what you were able to do to them please? There are a few pieces that have to go, they just basically subsided... and the pool had some weird settlement too but I'm thinking of rubberized decking for it.
