Well that's a wrap - and another Opex, for the history books. What a weird week with indices seeing all sorts of strange behavior - especially the divergence between minis and realtime. No trades today but the MOBI setup continues to perform well. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow on Monday. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of smileys!

The divergence you keep referring to Cos is just the normal carry relationship between spot and futures.
An odd day. Everything zoomed up briefly and then pulled back for most of the day and then came back at the close. Made money in LVS and most stocks - somehow I managed to screw myself over badly in VXX - my eduction is becoming quite expensive. Overall up better than 1% today.

Had a great day due to PCX.
Just about every other stock was red though.
Would have had a great week if it weren't for C, BAC, BZH and PMI. Worst of it is, I bought each at support and I had a chance to sell each of these for even money or just pennies lost. I didn't. Was always doing something else when I had the chance. That was the whole reason I bought them where I did!
I should never play this many stocks at one time, can't watch the charts fast enough. Really I should never play any of these 4...all 4 of them always get me in the end.
Hated to sell PCX. I had $23.45-$23.46 as the top for them all day and sold just below insuring I could get out. Closed right at the top...now makes me wonder if I should have sold any.

Oh yeah...and added GM today at $29.60 and ADK at $6.22.
Besides selling PCX today, this entire week was just about building positions for me. I still think we are going to visit at least the sp1340's at least 1 more time before the month is out.

scalp LNG scalp FEED ACI finally got in gear. green. long term hold by the way SSN slightly green hope it dips a bit or dies either way want to add to it GERN put on back burner wait for news Almost all Nat Gas stocks were running today I have a new list of them. Also for those who care please to check out DATE and TAOM
ACI bullish options
A lot of the action in the options market today is due to rolling ahead of the expiration. Here’s an example: Arch Coal (ACI) adds 60 cents to $26.15 and a Jul. 26-Aug. 25 call spread trades at $1.73, 8500X on ISE. Sentiment data indicate that half the spread is an opening buyer. This appears to be rolling of a bullish position from the July at-the-moneys to August in-the-money calls on the coal producer.

good luck Monday Moody's Downgrades 7 Portuguese Banks Submitted by Tyler Durden on 07/15/2011 15:05 -0400
British Bankers' Association Portugal Rating Agency ratings Stress Test
Moody's which is already not all that loved in Portugal, is about to make some more friends after it just downgraded the 7 biggest Portuguese banks, all of which, incidentally, passed the Stress Test that nobody remembers any more.

only one trade, closed 50 naked short 23 calls at 12:59 for 20 cents.. for a realized profit of 28 cents or 1.4K
had I not closed the naked calls position right before the close and instead bot the shares just after the close, I would have made additional 1K.
Now holding naked 5K VXX shares b/e 22.6. Account value 72.4K

I don't do the ocean much anymore because our beaches are a disaster here (dirty dirty dirty) - but I've got that green/blue/clear water thing in my head. I can't even think of swimming in water where I can't see what critters might be swimming around me

Not really dirty as in polluted, just a lot of very fine silt....bathing suit color of choice is khaki. The silt actually gets into the weave of the fabric, and will never wash out...kiss of death if you are wearing white. Blue water is about 70 miles from me, so I deal with it. We have much clearer water on a river about 8-10 miles away, but everyone else has the same idea...to crowded for my taste. No real predators in these waters..the catfish and sturgeon are friendly, and the last sharks were a few million years ago....I'm still harvesting their teeth.
