That was pretty ugly but consistent withthe adage that the action of the Friday before dictates opex week action. No trades ... Tending to my sqnm garden including shares, calls, and short calls. All in all I've hedged into decent profit. Agree that transports are key since they are sensitive to everything especially oil. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. A fairly typical crappy day for me. Down 2% of portfolio value for the day - mostly driven by LVS but most of my other stocks were down a bit too. Scalped some LVS and also got myself slightly longer. Took the opportunity to buy back half of my short April puts and replace them with the same number of short May puts for higher premiums and lower strikes. Today seemed timely to do that because implied volatility on May seemed a lot higher than on April - of course we have earnings coming early in May. Onward and upward! (Or in my case backward, then onward and upward)

Traded CYH for 7.6% realized profit - got lucky.
CENX AH pps is close to my b/e price. Looking forward to lower pps tomorrow. FYI - I hold less # of short shares compared with last week's holding.
Good Luck everyone.

Holding all cash.
Should've took a chance on Level 3 (LVLT)'s all-day dip, it reached back up end of day.

Toyed with the idea of buying AA Apr 18 puts for around .45-.50 this am, did not follow thru on that crapshoot, especially with 4 days to opex. Will be interesting to see how they pan out tomorrow. About 70% cash at the moment.

2 trades LULU - Sold remaining shares at 88.75 for a 13% gain EXK - Bought the dip --small at 11.17 (prob too early)........ I was fooling around with fib levels tonight and 10.78 seems to be the next level to the down side. I think that is where Birth was trying to buy it today (smart). Might see it tomorrow. (Fibs aren't really my thing so I could be wrong on that level FYI) Long SDS from friday. ;D Long NGD from a few months ago.

Sure I do ....birthdays, power outages, and when Barry White is playing on the stereo late at night.... On NGD....to answer your candle question...yes but not religiously ...I wasn't focussing on the daily chart today that much. Instead I was looking at the 10 min, 5min and hourly....today's volume below avg and it held support and it's 20 day as well. Should I have sold it a few days ago sure. Also, I was kinda like deer in headlights with EXK. No worries....no BIG ones at least. Glad I own the SDS.

didn't get a chance to post last night
had a few moves yesterday in the monopoly world -
added to my BKE short $44.25 / now 3x short avg $44.62
added to my PCLN short $506.30 / now 12x short avg $447.85
bought to cover 33% of my LNG short @ $8.10 & $7.60 / +6.2% on that batch, still holding the rest avg $8.36
bought starter position IRE @ $2.07, first long I've bought in quite awhile that wasn't silver or gold-related
In real life, FFR was bearish and is back at the 27 month low, and my FAZ trade from $45 is still 10% red
