Or... 3/22/11 in other date format. Sounds like a key date lol. Ah well the SPY option chain tells the story of today - strong whiffle across the board. The call side got hit much harder than the put side today implying a downward bias. However theta is increasing quickly on the weeklies so it really just feels like an end-run to Friday. I can't even imagine heavy action either way - maybe this type of thing to the upside tomorrow... then back down Thursday, always closing right around here. Not sure why this is a sweet spot but it's setting up to be. I traded out of some SPY puts after having stops taken out. It also turns out that was the LOD for the 130 strike, so I guess I was just another dipshit with his stop set right below the 'Moron Round Numbertard Mark' of $1 and got whacked. Ah well I should have set it at .98? lol I didn't re-add anything today but did clear 3 mutuals in one account and 2 in another, leaving a few but for the most part large on cash. Among the sells were FIIAX, ITHAX, NYVCX. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of smilies!

No trades today - just missed pulling the trigger on selling back some LVS. Overall a modest down day. Down about 1% of portfolio value for the day.

Sold portion of EXK at 9.52. Down to 50% of total (long at 7).
FYI I liked the action in LULU today. Will probably add on strength. Also, KOG held all of it's 6% gain from yesterday.
Long KOG, NGD, LULU, EXK

Sold LVS April $40 Calls against long shares on Monday for $1.12 premium. Insignificant shares at this point. Use me as a contrarian. As soon as I capitulated on LVS on Friday, it shoots up on Monday.
Sold FAS March 25th $30 Puts today for 0.90 premium. Happy to keep the cash and have the shares put to me this Friday or not. If shares are put to me, will look to sell covered calls expiring next Friday.
As much as I like LVS and wish the company well, I am going to get back to writing options on sector/index ETFs (3x variety are fine since they won't let you use margin and you won't get into too much trouble.)
