Wow what a barn burner! I voted so prominently bear in the poll last night I caught a few snapshots today of the dow 200+, which we all know is a sign of the next coming... in case you aren't aware of the history, Brosin has a conjecture that if the Dow does 200+ or more in any given day, it's not a bull market, in that bulls don't achieve those kinds of erratic, volatile gains but instead just grind higher. SINCE we closed at only 191+, the good news is we must still be in a bull market I added some CNL today, found my Wells Fargo guys can get it. Added a few shares of SQNM, nothing much just rounding up an order. Thought seriously several times about some SPY puts but kind of glad I held off Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of smileys!

Yeah...who said 200 point swings aren't normal these days!? Made a nice little gain on FAZ short position. Sold it and went long FAZ at $39.25 for a crap jobs number tomorrow. I'm ready for a 300 point down day because V told me so!! Bwahahaa

Today was a very good day for me. I'm currently holding bullish positions in SVNT, TIVO, and CLWR (short puts on TIVO and CLWR, covered straddle on SVNT). As of right now, the underlying stocks are CLWR: +9.21%, TIVO: +6.20%, SVNT: +2.95% on the day.
I hit a milestone today. As of market close, my trading account is up 105% since April.
I tried to sell some in-the-money Mar. calls against my SVNT stock today to take some off the table, but I couldn't get the price I wanted, and I'm not in a rush. SVNT has closed at high-of-day three days in a row, and is up almost 10% since then. I'll be a little irked if we have a big down day tomorrow, but if I had sold the calls I'd probably be equally irked if we had an up day tomorrow. To trade is to be irked.

Bought probably too much of MCP at 49.45. It closed at 49.84. I hope my hunch of a baby bear tomorrow does not hold up (or that MCP does not follow the market). Looking for a gap up tomorrow in MCP, got a very tight stop. Good luck to all

What if the market had a raging bull day and you were asleep? It kinda felt like that today. LVS continued to struggle. I tried to scalp the stock - never completed the round trip. I did buy some more $44 calls for tomorrow's expiration and ended up selling half of them for a nice profit. Rest of the portfolio did nicely - overall up 1/4% of the portfolio value.

closed WFT long May 20/21 call spread for 33% realized profit - gain of 15 cents out of potential 55 cents profit..
still holding naked May 19 WFT puts -- unrealized profit of 32%..
and CSCO calls/put combo -- 100% loss (5 cents, 4k) so far..
