From www.optionmonster.com ......................GLTA Calendar shifts to the consumerThere are two reports on the calendar which will cover consumer earnings and spending, as well as home sales. Today's economic reports focus on earnings, spending and home sales. The Commerce Department will release personal income and outlays at 8:30am ET. Incomes are forecast to grow by 0.3 percent, with estimates ranging from virtually flat on the bearish side to a bullish gain of 0.8 percent. Spending growth is expected to outpace income at 0.5 percent, a potential warning sign of inflation. At the low end of the range, economists forecast an increase of 0.2 percent, which could be a good number as long if income keeps pace or exceeds spending. The upper end of the range is 0.7 percent, which could be potentially bearish if the income gain is anemic. Pending Home Sales are scheduled for 10am ET, and a bearish decline of 1.3 percent is expected. The low end of the range is a drop of -5 percent, which would be even more negative. The upper end of the forecast range calls for growth of 2.5 percent, which would be bullish. Pending Home Sales will be released at 10 a.m. ET. The expectation is for a drop in sales from the prior month of -1.3 percent, which would be bearish. The low end of the forecast range at a drop of -5 percent would be more bearish still. The upper end of the forecast range calls for growth of 2.5 percent, which would be bullish.

So far, this is just a "relief rally", i.e.- relief that Irene wasn't worse. Hope and relief usually run out of steam more quickly than substance. And the housing #'s weren't exactly substance, although they were as expected. Hmmmm....skeptical and on the sidelines for now.
GL all!

;D Someone's protecting BAC today. Everytime SPY acts like it wants to drop a little, BAC gets bumped up a penny to keep it floating. I want so badly to do a FAZ scalp here, but we're stuck in no man's land until we break decisively one way or the other.
Why, oh why am I so impatient?!

I agree with Maxi. no buys on up days like this unless its a scalp off the 10m stoch when it dips below 20

Al;l I can tell you is what Ive been doing. I sold three times into power today. I now have plenty of cash to buy the 10M stoch when it dips hopefully to 10 or less tomorrow.
