From www.optionmonster.com ........................GLTA Indexes await reaction to debt dealWhat happened on Friday is not likely to have much impact today, given the debt-ceiling compromise reached yesterday. The knee-jerk among global markets will be to rally, as evidenced by an average 1.5 percent gain in U.S. index futures last night. The U.S. markets are acting in accord, with the futures up on average by 1.5 percent. The issue today will be how long and how far the rally might go. In light of the overnight futures trading, I am not changing the levels for today. The key is to whether resistance levels are broken on the upside. If that happens, the following are the next resistance levels to keep in mind. For the Nasdaq 100, next resistance above 2384.50 is at 2418.99. The S&P 500's resistance level above its 10-day moving average is at 1331.48. For the Russell 2000, next resistance would be at 825.53.Nasdaq 100 (NDX)First support is at 2342.13. First resistance is at 2384.50. For the PowerShares QQQ (QQQ) first support is at $57.46. First resistance is at $58.50. S&P 500 (SPX)First support is at 1295.92. First resistance is at 1321.40, its 10-day moving average. For the SPDR S&P 500 (SPY) first support is at $129.63. First resistance is at $132.23, its 10-day moving average. Russell 2000 (RUT)First support is at 796.05, its 200-day moving average. First resistance is at 816.32, its 50-day moving average. For the iShares Trust Russell 2000 Index Fund (IWM) first support is at $79.62, its 200-day moving average. First resistance is at $81.62, its 50-day moving average.

From www.optionmonster.com .....................GLTA Manufacturing construction data on tapThere are just two reports for today, but both could be important for the markets. How much play they get relative to earnings and the debt-ceiling issue remains to be seen. The ISM Manufacturing Index is to be released at 10 a.m. ET. The consensus is for a drop to 54.9 from the previous month's 55.3. The range of estimates for the headline number is from a bearish 53 to a more bullish 56. A move below 50 would show contraction of activity. Price paid are expected to moderate, down to 64.5 from last month's 68. The range for prices is from a disinflationary 50, which would be bullish, to a bearish climb to 70. Construction Spending is also scheduled for 10 a.m. ET. The consensus is for a flat reading of zero. Forecasts range from a bearish drop in spending of -0.5 percent to a bullish gain of 0.8 percent.

Well looks like we got a "debt deal rally" I wonder how many we will get?...........I mean really Greek Bailout has had like 132 Greek debt rallies we should get more I would think...........lets see one today already............vote approval should get us one...............President signing the bill should get us one..............thats all I can come up with so far but there has to be many I am missing or do we just go back to the weekly Greek bailout rally?....decisions decisions decisions..............

Euphoria turns flash crash. Of course, my Scotturd was locked up the first 15-20 mins the market was open. I could have sold my fri FAS purchase for a nice profit. Thanks to those jerkholes, I am now underwater. My main priority today will be to dump Scotturd and find a new brokerage. Hope everyone else is having a better day than I am. GL today traders. Keep the Dramamine handy.
