Spy 10m chart - look how it keeps kissing the 20ma. Can't get above. On the 60m chart, the 50hma is at the same level.
I think we might be getting some buy programs coming in here.

we had the exact opposite happen to our toyota sienna, sandwiched between two semis and boxed in by another minivan, had the whole family on board....accelerator failed, luckily everyone honored my "hazards" and let me merge onto the shoulder...idle kicked in and limited my driving at 20 mph...luckily we were within 30 minutes of a toyo dealership whoc absorbed their ass chewing quite well...provided a fully loaded rental, and had the work conmpleted in 3 days....tho it was a very scary couple minutes there

Not big size but we have high tick here and some follow up ticks +800. OK, +1240 tick right now. Tutes are back from their tartar lunch.

dog, very suprised the semi behind travelling at 65 mph, didn't just bump us into oncoming hwy traffic or run us right over, however the deceleration was moderate and everyone calmly let me work over...arguably we could all be dead...this happened last january after i retired from the firm, and we were vaca in texas, great timing
wondering if the markets make their run shorly

hey steel...
you can do some searches for candlestick charting via the web, and get a generalization of what to look for, or there are some decent reasonably priced books that are easy reads
now what i love doing is using the patterns identified via candlestick charting and reading the indicators many of us on this thread use, to make an even more educated buy/sell decisions (stoch, macd, bolinger bands, momo, RSI, OBV), UK has a great TICK tool at Fid Inv, that i am jealous of, and am very thankful UK posts critical ticks
now my analysis applies to windows for individ stocks to make a strong move...as it pertains to FAS/FAZ, i use the above indicators as a means to get a feel as to what bias (bull/bear) the day will bring...
hope that helps,

I see ugly bear flags in Spy 10m and 60m. On the pos side, we had a 60m close above the 50hma.
Murphy post: I'll paraphrase - indices are failing at their 50dma and those 50dmas are likley to keep declining, arguing for more downside ahead.

Thanks Steel. If I were just starting, I would subscribe for a month of inthemoneystocks.com. You will get up to speed and learn the basics quicker than any other way I can think of. I'd also watch the videos Mikey posts. Of course, this board and all who post on it are awesome as well

in looking at the accum/distrib data i have today...
spx been seeing decent accum, should this be considered support at these levels, or covering? now financials, selling throughout the day, but split accum/distrib between the "Big 6" looking ahead at the data to be released the rest of this week....we'll need to stay on our toes as w/o buying vol on good news/data, we really need to be prepared for testing lower support levels.

Alright, if we're gonna plug. I still think I got the best beginner trading from Phil Grande and at $40/mo. it's a steal. Just don't trade what he (or any site) trades unless YOU like the trade, take it in for the knowledge.

for those who play it...
Patriot Coal Corp. (PCX) said it expects its West Virginia Federal mine to remain idle until at least the middle of next week after a safety inspection. On Monday, the coal producer said it was temporarily suspending operations at Federal No. 2 as a safety precaution after discovering "potentially adverse atmospheric conditions" on Thursday in an abandoned area of the mine. Its shares fell on the news Tuesday and were recently down 10.4% to $15.84 amid sharp declines for many cyclical stocks. Patriot's stock has more than quintupled in the past year. The company said Tuesday it plans to submit an enhanced ventilation plan for the mine to address concerns of federal officials, although it said it is in compliance with the existing ventilation plan. "We are taking every precaution to ensure that our work environment remains safe for our people, while complying with all mining regulations," Chief Executive Richard Whiting said. In a separate matter, Patriot said it is cooperating with an investigation of allegations that one or more employees made inaccurate entries in official records involving the mine. The company said it has turned over information to authorities. -By Kathy Shwiff, Dow Jones Newswires; 212-416-2357; Kathy.Shwiff@dowjones.com

Hey Elle, look who has more karma than you. Thanks everyone. J, tell about that mattress sometime. I have a sample from them on my desk. I was also in a wicked car crash two years ago and nothing is less comfortable than lying on my back. That's why I'm up at 5a every day.
