Not sure for tomorrow, today's action was kind of strange. It's opex (again) so anything is possible.

I see bears really insisting we do not move higher. And this time there are a whole lot of them.
I don't know if that means we see a down day getting a nice solid drum circle jamboree going over the weekend, or whether it isn't even needed. Every day seems like bear jamboree lately. bull

I want to be a Bull; in the face of the overall bearish headwinds but for friday I am a bear. Bought bear etfs today. Today I was floored by the gap-up when their didnt appear to be any buyers... more program trading by the bots I suspect. I believe that if 1100 fails friday, we should see 1080s real quick-good trading everybody.

Given that reality one could ALWAYS blame the bots for WHATEVER happens. I dunno if I buy that just yet...

Today's action was very weird to me. Something is up and I don't think it's a blast to the moon. DB was not good news, unemployment is not getting better, retail has left the building.
I will be a big blue commodity sowolf purrfecten clinton bear until this thing dumps.
and when it does.... 1040 won't even garner a pause... like butter..

Jack, That is a very frightening statistic True market capitalism cannot prevail unless buyers and sellers are allowed to engage in the price discovery process. When callous crooks like Geithner, Bernanke, and Obama do these kinds of things, it almost always ends badly. These shysters and charlatans would make Bernie Madoff blush. We all have to stick together and be ready when the oligarchs drop the next shoe. As such, what the fark kind of market is this then?

Well guys I just read something interesting on the SKF board... the markets have not closed red on 9/11 since the attacks. If 9/11 falls on a weekend, the Friday preceeding is a green close. I haven't checked it out... anyone know off hand? (Like Bros... the font of information? )

It sounds plausible, blue. I would tend to believe it. I haven't pulled the charts out tonight but I saw something on the SPX this morning, a different down trendline with 3 data points. It crosses round about 1113 tomorrow.

A buddy of mine read that Stand book and said it was cool..
How is that Stand series Rich?

Post by Rich on Sept 10, 2010 1:06:18 GMT -5
The Stand was an awesome book but the movie, alas, was a bit hokie. (Like all Stephen King Movies). But we forgive the hokiness because a SK story is good no matter what. As a matter of fact, it makes them even more endearing. Just saw 'The Langoliers' again recently. I first read Salem's Lot about 1980? I was hooked. Used to read voraciously as a youngster, but now that I know everything, I don't read anymore The truth is I've always been a nerd. Ask my wife One more thing, Favorite SK short story is called 'Quitters, Inc.' 10 pages, give it a try and you'll know everything you need to know about Stephen King.

I started reading the gunslinger saga, i think i quit at book 3? It was a good story but just so long and drawn out. Maybe if I had more time.. King is def a great author tho.. my buddy reads everything he can find of his work. i will have to recommend that story. Thanks I get called a nerd all the time by the lady too
