Spy 20hma is right here. This has been the big R since 8/19. Hold >105.5 and is starts to swing upwards. 106.2 is the 5dma.
I'm liking vix action. The morning spike and sell off has been a theme on good days. Day is young.

Dr. Copper is looking good. It did not get head faked. Hard to see a sell off without this showing greater weakness. finviz.com/futures_charts.ashx?t=HG&p=h1To be clear, Spy looks like poop. The trend is down. Let's see if the tea leaves hint of change. 10y UST has a bearish engulfing. We expected a slow change in direction at the top and so far that is playing out. finviz.com/futures_charts.ashx?t=ZN&p=d1

Time to turn that on, we're flying high!

etfdigest $SPY when bad news is great. Even $INTC is up on the day after cutting forecast on low PC demand...bullish or BS!
There's a guy who doesn't understand the concept of news being previously discounted in the price. I really think pure TA guys should not venture into macro or valuation. Need to stick to what you know.

I knew there was something about the very last article posted in the original post that stuck out to me - I thought it was just my re-energized bullishness:
Ritholtz: Bulls reach lowest since Mar ‘09 according to AAII In the always fickle AAII measurement of stock market sentiment of individual investors, today’s Bull reading at 20.7 is down from 30.1 last week and is at the lowest level since March ‘09 when it got as low as 18.9 when the S&P’s were below 700. Bears rose 7 pts on the week to 49.5 but still remain below the recent high in July at 57.1. The March ‘09 high in Bears hit 70.3.

Why does GS blow so badly? It's held up better than every other bank so perhaps this is just catch up time? Weird.
