And I'm starting to think banks suck, and that TNA is the better play. But TNAtopia doesn't sound the same...

Here's a picture of Sitting Bull's Camp. If you are there sitting I suggest you do something about all the chiggers! (...or did you mean the Chicago Bull's camp?)

I keep thinking about this POT offer - with a company like Potash, there's no way a 25% premium to current stock price would suffice since the stock price should reflect all future earnings streams as well.
That said, doesn't it at at base level seem to indicate how undervalued the general market is if a powerhouse big cap company like that can jump 25% in a day?

SPX's 10,20 & 50 MAs humping each other on the daily. With the SPX up +1.5% today I like that.

Paulson took a stake in insurer CNO (I work for a subsidiary) in October 2009, and the stock popped huge, but it was short-lasted for the most part. Would get cut in half within a few months.
Without knowing much about PMI, I'd say you could probably find some better options, but I'm not a very good chartist so don't want to advise on that.

That said, doesn't it at at base level seem to indicate how undervalued the general market is if a powerhouse big cap company like that can jump 25% in a day? You've hit the nail on the head. The market has been macro focused recently, leaving aside company valuations, esp. relative to (1) cash on the b/s and (2) yield vs bonds (Barron's article from this past w/e). Market is going struggle back and forth between these two opposing forces, imo. The Vix analysis from yesterday made clear that bad news (macro) seemed to be fully baked in for the time being (vix unable to hold morning gains). The final nail was the parabolic move in USTs yesterday (3 std deviations from the mean; essentially unprecedented).
