UUP bull flag on intraday? Trading down along the 15m 20ma very nicely, well off lows. I think we are not going to get any surprises here today. Snowstorms and Fridays make for a sleepy market. The 50dma on spy will cap it.

elle you prob recall i have a weakness for blondes... and brunettes...reds too...black hair is exciting...wifey would shave her head back in the day and sported every color under the sun (pink was cute)...not too thrilled about the canary yellow though...
ok here is what i have, info may be a bit old to ya....
The stock market has managed to hold on to its modest gains, which were scored in recent action, but trade remains rather choppy.
Trading volume has been light this session. At the current pace of trade, volume is unlikely to break above 1 billion shares on the NYSE. DJ30 +15.12 NASDAQ +5.21 SP500 +2.36 NASDAQ Adv/Vol/Dec 1188/1.39 bln/1401 NYSE Adv/Vol/Dec 1727/579 mln/1233 The financial sector has jumped out to a 0.7% gain during the past few minutes. The gain is better than that of any other major sector.
JPMorgan Chase (JPM 42.26, +1.62) is a primary leader among financial stocks, though there isn't any specific news item to account for its relative strength. Nonetheless, its breakout this session has the stock on pace for its best single-session percentage gain in more than four months. Such a strong move has helped shares of JPM put together a week-to-date gain of more than 5% and a month-to-date gain of more than 8%

from ITMS:
Rarely do we see a big negative day on a Friday. We call this phenomenon the 'Friday Effect'. Ever since the 2008 panic began the markets have held up very well during a Friday. They usually close around the flat line area up or down a little. In the past year I believe we have had less than 10 big Friday declines.
My guess is that the institutional money that can move markets does not want to scare the Asian markets that open on Sunday night in the U.S. or cause any panic to build up over the weekend. Today looks like the 'Friday Effect' is in play, therefore, it is likely to see a flat to slightly positive close for the last trading day of February.
