Quick wrap today as I'm ummmm shopping for a new bathing suit. I've been told I need them quite badly. Today seemed mostly boring and unmotivated market-wise. Obviously the market continues to base it's decisions on POMO and won't move on it's own. I can't blame it with 2 stock crashes in 2 days... so much for safeguards. No trades. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of anklets which I'm low on today using this infernal contraption I'm typing on.

I missed out on this morning's trading because I was at a charity board meeting. Did a little scalping this afternoon. Otherwise I watched LVS continue up and short options decay some more. Nice up day almost $20k - making this my best month ever if it stays this way.

Yesterday afternoon I sold naked some AGNC 27 puts when AGNC was around 27.70. Then, after close of market, AGNC announced it was doing a secondary offering at 26.00. Crap. AGNC is a REIT, and the secondary should be non-dilutive, though, so this morning when AGNC was trading around 26.10, I sold a bunch of 26 puts. Sure enough, by the end of the day, AGNC is back up to around 26.70. I'm still down a little on the overall position, but I'm not too worried. AGNC has been pretty flat for years and is paying a huge $1.40 dividend per quarter.

No Trades for me. Just watched the lackluster action.
Although I must admit I'm afraid I'll wake up one day and the big boys will have turned the bots off. And then nobody will be interested in taking my 2k+ shares of FAZ...and I'll be stuck holding this trash!

Don't worry about bots - that issue is so overblown and essentially irrelevant (you need to trust me on this - I'm a finance/markets/professor/computer guy that has been all over things like this before and I know what I'm talking about). IMHO nothing happens until the election barring some trigger like a war in the middle east. After that all bets are off - suggested reading might be Andy Kessler's opinion piece in today's WSJ - don't 100% agree with Kessler but he comes pretty darn close to my way of thinking consistently).

unbelievable, way to go Dave! Christ, that stock was 16 bucks two weeks ago! ;D I got a lot of heat for clearly and unambiguously advising people that shorting LVS at $29 was not necessarily a great idea. I wasn't trying to scare anyone off - merely advising people of what I happen to know based on intensive fundamental analysis over the past 2 years. (Basically, LVS is the ONLY stock I analyse and trade intensely - it is pretty much a full-time job for me to watch this stock and the casino sector and related international patterns and events_

Bot MON OCT 50/55 call spread Bot back 10K CENX at a loss - ~20K (based on FIFO, ~7K based on LIFO) long VXX 110/100 put spread on F5 FFIV
holding a lot of SDS combo (short 29 put, long 30call) holding long AETC holding 30K short CENX
Don't remember the last time I had so many securities in my day trading account...
So in brief, only one realized trade -- loss of 20K (FIFO)

Sold an AAPl put hedge i had from yesterday for 8 when AAPl dropped in the first 2 minutes.. THey gave me 8!! it went to 11 about 15 seconds later.. ah well bought it at 6.80 so profit is good.. but i thought i was making out like a bandit!! guess not Then bought aapl 2 aapl puts as it looked to be bear flaggin around 284, and it turned out to be a bull flag so i dropped them for even money w/ commision.. Attempted to play aapl 2 aapl calls around 285, took a nap and came back at 288.. held to about the market close and sold one for about $90 loss-- bad play Holding on call and one put at 290 strike.. figure i will sell each when they are profitable.. AZO put up again 20% today, then after hrs a repurchase announcment happened so looks to be another good day for AZO tomorrow..! ;D Holding 10 amd 7 calls with intent to sell these when AMD hits 7.35ish.. note to self, sell on the pop, reload and try do it again next time.. The market is making my head spin.. so I am just hedging and taking small gains when i can for now.. Gl for tomorrow!

FFR was very bearish today to .19% from .21% - this is something to watch tomorrow. .19% and above is the 'all clear,' but further deterioration under that level tomorrow would be a sign of a looming top. I would still think it would take about a week before coming. Still holding FAS Monopoly Big Cap was down 1.6% today. The GOLD short continues to kick my butt. Acct is 65% invested. Didn't post yesterday, but sold LVS / ANR / HPQ in there. Account lagging market by 1.8% since inception. Scalp trades Yesterday had gain on FAZ .8%, loss on shorts RIG -.7% and BIDU -1.4%, opened FAS & RIMM positions to hold overnight. Bought some more of both this morning, closed out FAS for 1% gain but bought more RIMM at the close to hold overnight (unrealized 1.1% $7K loss currently). options acct no moves either day, still holding 300 SPY $116 Oct calls @ .91 (currently 31% unrealized gain) Accounts were down 1.2% on the day
