(Filling in for Cos) Market took a deep breath today. After the volatile FOMC session yesterday, we had a tight trading range today with neither side making much headway although the day clearly goes to the bears. They won't go hungry tonight, even if it is just a nibble of meat off the bone We did bounce off the 1130 support area which the bulls should expect since it was a very tough resistance area to get through. Bulls and bears alike seem to be unhappy at 1130 and thus adding to their already established positions and biases. Bulls think 1130 is too low, and bears think it is too high; maybe this is as good a sign as any that we are relatively fairly valued. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of smileys!

Odd day for me. Today LVS was up strongly while the market was down. I did some scalping. Lightened up a little in the stock and wrote some Oct $34 puts and bought some $35 calls. Contrary to my plans, it looks like I'll have a complex October option position when I get on the Queen Mary 2 on Oct 12. Ho hum. When mutual funds report I should be up $20k for the day.

Averaged down on MVIS today....holding FAZ until the bitter end! LOL! Not really....only looking to squeeze another 5-10% out of it! Economy is getting worse....businesses are still laying people off. It's all crap.

FFR made a bearish move to .20% from .21% overnight last night - as mentioned, we are still at .19% or above for the "all clear" signal as I see it. We will see what happens tomorrow. My FAS trade has crawled down to only being green by 10% now. Monopoly Trading: Big Cap Growth saw its first sells when we broke through 1135 spx (mental stop); I sold half my double RIMM position to make it a single, and my profits (>5% in all 3) in VALE, SIRI, and SLW. I am down to 65% invested. If the market drops under 1130 (mental stop 2), I will unload some more profits. Down -.8% on the day. Scalp trading saw a 1.5% realized FAZ trade, and bought some RIMM. Holding some RIMM and CHK overnight, unrealized losses -.9% & -1.8% respectively. Options Port saw one trade - bought 100 SPY $116 Oct calls @ $1.01. Down a few cents on those so far. My only other holding there is the SPY short SPY $113 Oct calls that unlost 12%. All combined, accounts were -.6% on the day, +1.4% overall.
