Wow, did the Dow actually get down to the 9930 area this morning? That's what I see on the TDA ticker. Egad Well I missed that entry lol. However I did add to my MPG, and added some IWM calls which will probably fail lol. You can see the details in my blog by clicking the pretty picture: Today's action suggests a gap up tomorrow since we did a reversal after descending below the fib line. I will most likely sell that gap up, which I do expect - at least on the IWM calls. The MPG is a longer term swing trade. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of smileys!

I made $600 on SOMX today and another $500 letting Fox Studios park a car in my driveway so they can film an episode of "Lie To Me" next door. And I'm working an extra shift tonight. Whooee, I'm in the money! Actually, the Fox money makes up for the fact that I let my 10% trailing stop hit rather than sell at the high.

DrT I think that was very wise to take the Fox deal, I remember when you first mentioned it.
I think you should push it.
Tell 'em you want more deals, you'll repaint, or unpaint if they want it for an apocalypse scene, etc etc. ;D
Congrats on SOMX!!

only one trade, was hoping yesterday's repeat, couldn't get it..
bot 30K shares of CENX at 9.48, 600 at 9.39 --
It was like watching paint dry, movement on CENX really sucked.. Exabi summed it up best --"Price volume distribution chart looks like a middle finger salute -"..
Unrealized profit of $8,000 (CENX and AETC).

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmm.....................well I had to avg into my SPY CALLS I got at the close yesterday to a 50 contract position that I was able to rid myself of a short time later for +3.9% ............then I did a 100 contract PUT trade for +3.5% and then really just watched for the most part until I saw the TICK go bonkers with 1200+ ticks I decided I better get me some puts........ended up with 200 contracts @ 3.17 avg and put them up for sale at 3.41 at the close..........filled on 95 for +7.5% and just a few moments ago got my KILL notice on the other 105....................so the true result is yet to be known on that one ............holding 105 SPY 107 PUT contracts............oh and then in my typical fat finger forget to check orders ways I decided to take a position in INTC in a LT account and guess what.......I did not change accounts so it ended up in my trading account 2K @ 18.42...............I did then switch accounts and bought it in the LT account too 2K @ 18.44 but that I will hold and may add if it goes much lower in the LT account and will most likely hold in trading account at least until I am up enough to cover commissions LOL...............and then last eve S&P DOWNGRADES IRELAND so my AIB is feeling ill but still hanging around(now money in jail) ...............ok that was my debacle.......................exalt for cos................live to trade another day...................GLTA

had a good day. Thank you for all that helped me with the owning FAS and FAZ at the same time. It did work out. However I don't recommend it and I wont be trying that trick again. I don't know why its so confusing when your in. When you think about it, it all seems to make sense BUT in reality it doesn't work well at all.

Bought aapl Weekly $240 calls at open for $2.36
Sold aapl Weekly $240 calls at 3:05 for $3.65. 54% profit.
Kind of mad becaue I left another 1.05 on the table becaue I sold too early.
Better to take profits than watch the stock sell off at the end of the day.
Still potitioned
aapl Sept $240 calls BAC Sept $12 calls BAC Jan $12.5 calls Crus Sept $17.5 calls

They never tell us but I'll try to find out! All I know is the house is supposed to be in foreclosure. They were talking about using our house but used the one next door, instead. So we just got the $500 "inconvenience fee" instead of some wonderful "use" fee. Same thing happened last year. They said it's hard to find neighborhoods locally that don't have Spanish-style houses, so they like our block for filming Back East scenes. Last year they parked a car in the middle of our front lawn for some scene.

Rode the new bike again. Love it.
Built a big wheel for Bobby...only it's chinese, it's called a razor.
Set up a couple of jobs. Gotta go make some money.
The time off was just what the doctor ordered.
Oh, and bought a bunch of PCX and a little MGM. shares.

Not a bad day - up $30k. Mostly LVS of course. Over the past few days I've managed to give away close to $20k "managing" my LVS position - I guess that happens when you get skittish and are short gamma. I did a few things today to make my risk more manageable - moved some of my short in the money puts from September to October and traded up a little in strike to get some serious extra premium. Also wrote a few high strike calls. When I move some of my Sep position to Oct it lowers my gamma and just generally spreads my worries from one huge option expiration to just 2 big ones.

sorry blue - they've gotta be a tough trade
no trades, a few prayers for my FAS which were so far answered; ha, not really though - still haven't gone down too much on it at -14% at the low (i was hoping to never get to a 20% paper loss before it comes back green)

Sorry, missed the wrap yesterday: bought some CENX and HIG, but got the middle finger salute on both so far. Barely any movement.

Missed it too. Got in FAS at 17.16 (great price, happy for my call).
Average of 18.65 though :-( I hope I can get to unload everything at 20 or 21 then possibly jump in FAZ at 12.
