I missed some of the afternoon session today but looks like there was some clawback. 1115 has held, which was the mark T4D suggested last Friday, so the bulls still have some fight. I added to my MPG today on their earnings crash. I do think it will trade lower and I'm accumulating. No other trades. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of smileys!

I liked the action today it played according to plan. Dumped my bear plays before the fed announcement and bought a basket of financial and tech plays. Market held the critical 10 day ma so my short term bias is baby bull and if 1130s can clear, Ill be a mega-bull. Longer term though, Im a lil concerned. Hope everyone made money today; I really enjoy this thread.

Sold my FAZ pre-market, little gain. I just didn't want to get zig-zammed by my buddy Ben Accumulation...cool, I like it. Some nice little diddy's out there....HPQ, BAC, and several others I am looking at. JBLU is interesting at 6 and a half. Has a triangle going on. I should say about BAC...I don't like the chart, but it doesn't have much farther to fall, either. Where's that dude with the RSI(2) strategy?

I've had better and worse days - portfolio was down $25k - executed an LVS scalp. Legged the roll of some short Aug $29 puts into short Sep $29 puts. Tried and failed to write some more Aug $30 calls. All in all - well-positioned for next week's expiration

bought more DRV, 2nd of 3 possible buys. This buy was actually an avg. up as my 1st buy was at $25.85. Sold my DTO as well before the announcement and netted $5/share.
Short term negative divergences are still in force here and why I think we get more downside before we try for 1130 again on SPX. What I am seeing is lower # of new highs from the past few weeks which to me is bearish. Especially in the NASDAQ and that was where a lot of the rally came from. Anyway, if the Fed had not announced they were throwing out more stimulus and using bond proceeds to buy treasuries, then I think the market would have been down significantly more especially in light of the economic reports that came out today. As well UUP I think held support very well and we could see a short term pop in the dollar and weakening in equities, therefore I remain bear for a little while longer.
GL!

2 weeks ago there were 121 new highs on NASDAQ, last week was 54 and now 67. Still way off from a few weeks ago.

I remain all in and bullish Hey Torr - What makes you so bullish - I want to be but just can't get there. I've been buying/selling FAS, 500 shares at a time for small profits while at the same time working my avg price down from over $30 to almost $25 - Still holding a bunch of MVIS and ZTrim and waiting/hoping for big payoffs - We shall see - Thanks for shared wisdom, jokes, etc... ;D

For anyone interested or follows Carl Futia: Sounds good to me.
The market has thus far responded positively to the Fed's announcement that it will roll over its mortgage security portfolio and not shrink its balance sheet for the foreseeable future.
If the ES can close above 1116 today I think the swing to 1145-50 will resume.

Big $$ needs to get more shares and options on the cheap for the ride higher leading up to OpEx in Sept.

Bought some Chipotle here in AH - burrito with guacamole. They raised their prices recently - $9.05.
BWAH - how much does that cost them to make, $2?
Remain all cash - watching a few things long and short, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Trying something new - patience.

Hey Torr - What makes you so bullish Grey Poupon -but of course... Seriously. I have no specific answer -nothing specific I could point to. It is more like a general sense that is derived somewhat subconsciously as a result I think of immersing myself in a number of charts -covering individual issues, sectors, indexes and indicators that span a good portion of the market. If one picture can paint a thousand words then a thousand pictures can paint a million. Seeing repeated patterns and structure emerge from the seeming chaos and noise hints at first and eventually conveys a specific message understood that was never really specifically delivered...
