Market surprise last night took futures way down. I added 2 /ES longs last night around 1095 area I believe. Was surprised we were still so far down. Slightly (very slightly) green on the trade. No changes today. Still hold the URE with covered calls in place. Most things were red today although URE held up very well and SPG did some squeezing. I still like the RIFIN pattern for a breakout so I'm still short FAZ. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Regulars, please post your results and Exalt the person above you. Here's the RIFIN and Bond chart update:

The overnight futures handed the ball to the bears in the morning. At around 1:45 the bears fumbled. The VIX pivoted sharply about 21.08, and the bulls picked up the ball for a touch down.
Bears should be forewarned again about the 19.59 level on the VIX. A break below that price point, short-squeeze will take place.
The day belongs to the bulls even though the indexes closed red. The overall market breadth across all US exchanges ended 3988 : 2909 in favor of the decliners.
Held all open option positions. Traded SQNM for a nickel gain.
With the VIX closing lower by .85%, my account ended higher by 0.8%.
I am very confidently bullish for tomorrow.

LOL @ Greece - like I said, I found today humorous at 9 am. Just an excuse anyways, but come on.
Chickenhead has appeared, the market and my APWR passed a nice test today, and Day 2 of Acctpwr has been a success! Missed on my bull call and my call this morning in my 'Greece Again? thread' that the market may finish green, but hey that was still a nice 100+ pt rally from the bloody open/first few ticks.
Holding all my shares into tomorrow and will try to sell a chunk of shares if we get to $14.37 and wait for another re-entry. Just to be clear, however, I will still always hold a core amount of shares (probably 25-50% of my current full position).

Finally sold those FAZ march calls, took a hit about 30%, approx. 8% of account. It could have been worse. In fact it was worse yesterday.
Today was a gift to me.

I saw a bullish market recovery portfolio up session today... Again, it was very good to see VIX close below 21 and the Transports strongly recover; again closing well above the 4055.00ish level... YES --this market is going higher... Looking long term with a bullish bias still set and indicator room for upside I still expect to see SPX Daily hit at minimum the 1132.00ish level; however, considering all, feel we may consolidate some here until the 50 Day SMA on SPX is taken out... Looking short term at consolidation and trend reversal bottoming I see a possible inverted head and shoulders pattern setting up on SPX Hourly... IF this formation plays out THEN the calculated target from breakout for SPX would be the 1180.00ish level... Hope all did well. ;D

Anything you can do in this regard and get that stuff into FME's STICKY on trading Strategies would be great. Thanks Jack Hey Jack. Yeah sorry about that. I now realize the benefits to having more than just one thread that takes 10 pages to sift through. My APWR do's and don'ts thread can't be found because I haven't done it yet. Didn't think I would be able to get to it tonight, but I'm already back from night out so I am going to put something together here shortly. Gonna post it in the Trader's section. I believe Ship mentioned that he would give a more detailed description at a later time, but here's a few things he said: "5% down from the open is 12.60 - normal range for APWR. Setting up trades premarket, I have been using 5% down and up from the previous close along with the support resistance. We know they try to take us down whenever they can. So we can dip lower and higher than support and resistance on this stock, just because of the manipulation. I always figure out -5, -7, -10% before the open as possible targets because of the manipulation. " " This basically ties into your do/don't "on the open." This has worked great, if you setup your trades premarket, watch for news at the last minute, and get the market pulse, you can determine your 5-10% starting trade and modify accordingly . If unsure, use 10% instead of 5 and watch the open. Makes sense." "The plus minus 5 to 10% method, can also be used on the plus side. When I use it to determine a sell target on my swing shares, I will either sell all of my swing shares and be done. Or...... in the case of my Roth IRA, I sell a handful of core shares and buy back at a lower price for slightly more shares than I sold. Thus Accumulating free shares of APWR. This a strategy to build your position or take advantage of a move up when you don't have any swing position established. If the APWR trend is up, I am not out of those core shares for long, 20-40 cent window. plus 5% target today is 13.92, 10% is 14.58 - compare and adjust according to established resistance levels. " "13.73 close Tomorrow to watch aside from support/resistance Minus 5% is 13.04 - (right at my long term trendline). Plus 5% is 14.41 Watch the news before the open. We have news and all percentage trades are off. We get positive news and it will typically run for 1+ days."
