Indexes are still befuddled and of course this is OPEX week. The usual rule of thumb is Fridays action dictates this weeks action. So far that seems to be the case. Confusion reigns supreme. No trades today. Hope everyone has a great Valentines day. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of new and improved smileys!

Had a pretty good day. Did buy some MU and am showing a small loss there and of course my MNKD calls look more and more worthless. Apart from that pretty much everything else was up. Scalped some LVS and also bought 2k more shares. Bought back my Friday short $47 puts and replaced with a smaller number of short $49 and $50 puts. Overall looks to be a plus 1.25% day up 5.15% MTD and 9.1% YTD. (Got the numbers correct today - had them wrong on Friday)

In various accounts:
Sold 26 LVS $48 Puts expiring on Friday for $1.30. It is currently OTM but I am hoping to end up with shares. This was to re-deploy the cash that I received from my FAS shares being called away. If I do end up with shares on Friday, I will then look for opportunities to short covered calls against these shares.
Rolled 10 LVS $46 Calls expiring on Friday out to Mar 19 for $1.30 net credit.
Rolled 1 LVS $47 Calls expiring on Friday out to March 19 for $1.45 net credit.

"Easier to treat" illnesses can still kill you pretty quickly if you are not careful - examples are strep throat, pneumonia, cholera etc etc etc.

I thought that the one time it was SAFE to go to a hospital was when you already had an infection as it confers temporary immunity to new infections.

FFR was level at .15%, remaining in "deployment on risk" levels My FAZ from $9.02... well the market was open for trading today so I'm sure it was red ;D In real life trade news (in my trading acct to go along with the FAZ), I made a trade!! We'll see how well that goes - I bought some MNKD @ $3.48. What can I say, the market has made me bored! monopoly world - a few moves, but more was done on the strategy end Big Cap - a few moves; as I have been tracking, my buying power has been negative since the middle of last week. By this morning, it got to a *quite* negative number (approx -$650K / about 5.5 entries/exits, give or take). If this were real life, I would've had to make an excuse this afternoon that held off on a forced liquidation until tomorrow morning. Instead, I plan to liquidate at least a large portion of my FAZ for a truly monster loss in my Scalp Trades account and shift that money into the Big Cap to meet the margin call. I did start to meet the call with a few moves... acct had a bad day -4.5% mainly due to my CLF short Buys: (to cover all remaining) LVS @ $46.90 & $47.05 / +.9% on a 3x short position - as described above, it was a gift that I had any green positions at all. (to cover all) BKE @ $37.30 / -1.3% on a 1x short position; this was the only loss that was very small - all other remaining unrealized losses are 7% or more. I remain 100% short with aforementioned big margin call - I mention all this mainly because I do not think I am alone when it comes to big money; you may or may not agree with that scalp trades - well now I have to see what FAZ did, so yeah looks like it was a few cents red... acct -.6% on the day. Here is a chart showing my buying power in this account since inception. A picture is worth a lot of words: I have gone from up 100% as of 12/7/10 to up 2.2%... it has been a painful 2 months of HOLDING FAZ. Basically, I deserve to be As mentioned in the Big Cap summary, I will be cashing this out tomorrow and moving the funds, so at least I am going to cash out at even. It was quite a ride I guess All in all, accounts were down -3.2% on the day. As mentioned in my FFR thread, at least I am still beating the market overall since 9/7/10 inception...

We'll have to ask the Commish! I'm on it! Hey everybody, sorry for the delay - been working my butt off recently -- too many people coming down with pneumonia Novice - hope you feel better soon. Actually not true about being immune to new infections when you're sick. While your immune system is boosted sometimes when you have one infection, it doesn't mean you're immune to anything. In fact, sometimes when you have a viral infection (including the common cold, or the flu) you can become more susceptible to bacterial infections ("bacterial superinfection") which can become pretty nasty pretty quickly. So be careful out there! ) Hope everybody's doing well!!!!!
