Watched all day as the baiters and switchers with LVS suckered everyone. That 50 call was nuts lol. Ah well, I win, that's all that mattered but I tell ya I thought they had me. Added to both sides of my FAS diagonal spread, but no new position or strikes. No other trades... Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post our results along with your RDA of smileys!

My RUU rare earth metals Canadian penny spec play is still green I can't believe it! finance.yahoo.com/q?s=RUU.V ...btw RUU's reserves are roughly comparable to Molycorp's (MCP). MCP closed today @ 52ish...that's a 17-18x bagger from here...prolly in 12-18mos timeframe tho'.

Did lots of shuffling around in LVS options today. Also bought 4k shares after the close and after the dip. Bought some more BCO. Looks like a +1.5% day so far. BUT LVS plunged after the close and I could easily be down net 3% on the day if you factor that in - but I'll worry about that and the margin calls if they happen tomorrow.

MCP closed today @ 52ish...that's a 17-18x bagger from here...prolly in 12-18mos timeframe tho'. Also not to be a stickler , but MCP's $4.3B mkt cap would be about a 14 bagger from RUU's current $300M mkt cap... RUU has about 50M more outstanding shares than MCP I'm sure than 3x bag difference would CRUSH the emotions ;D I'm going to have to look at this one though - I've missed out on too many jack picks, that's for sure!

wow jack that is some looking chart! you sure do love those canadian plays, eh? ;D Rare earths will be the next hot commodity. This mine the Canadian company has rights to in Krygyzstan is part of Russia's former nuclear weapons complex. It not only comes w/ the mine but all the refining/processing /transportation facilities in a country who's environmental regs are shall we say business & backsheesh oriented! Could be a 15-20x bagger in 12-18mos as noted above. Huge spec play; I only got 1K shrs LOL

Ah I messed up near the bell and barely sold off my LVS 12 call lot for about $30 profit only.. meant to get out a bit higher and get more into a few puts..
Holding about 45% port in calls in LVS and LNG
still in 3 Spy puts..
Kind of spinning my wheels here, not too scared but not happy either with these plays..especially after my killer AMD call run
Ah tomorrow is another day, hopefully not the slaughterfest begining

covered MU at 10.94 in the morning and recorded huge loss ~$58,000. Thanks everyone for sharing my pain. Lessons learned, time to move on.
went long on LVS 50/49 weekly put spread. they expire tomorrow -- i don't have a lot of them. based on AH activity I have a good chance for 100% profit.. need LVS pps below 49.5x to be b/e. if pps is below 49, i double up.

He blamed the surge in inlfation on the EU, but rising stocks on POMO.. Also said we are screwed if we dont reduce the deficit. Well we just export the inflation and make the dollar worthless so our debt is cheap to pay back anyhow right?

While I'm not surprised... inflation is not due to POMO, but EU but rising stocks (*not inflation* ) are due to POMO we are screwed if we don't reduce the deficit... i.e. tighten the money supply even though that's completely the OPPOSITE of what they're doing right now (1064264643 times as much as we've ever seen before) things that really make you go i guess we are all just stupid

well they asked him if the emerging markets inflation, and higher food prices were due to the POMO.. he said egypts problems were because of the EU inflation because they are more pegged to them.. he is pretty smart

GJ Taj I was real surprised with your naked short on MU.. I have seen u switch to option strategies beneficially.. why do u hate MU? I don't hate MU.. there is no personal grudge against MU.. I have been observing this stock for a very long time..Made reasonable money on it last year -- playing it both ways.. I saw an opportunity to make 1%-2% profit by shorting a stock that went up like 20% in 2-3 weeks.. ended up with 7% loss on even larger position... bummer.. I provided more information on the other thread. BTW, I was long MU in my other account and sold everything at 9.89.. so there is nothing personal against MU..

Have 10 LVS covered calls $46 strike ( and happy to have these shares called away) expiring tomorrow. Total profit from this deal will be something like 4-5 points.
Have 5 LVS short $49 Puts expiring tomorrow that looks like shares will be assigned to me over the weekend. The premium received covers the amount that's in the money at this point. Breakeven on these at the moment. I will either roll these out to next friday or take the shares and look to sell covered calls. (Rinse and Repeat as per Cos)
Have 20 LVS short 49 Puts expiring in March. Will ungain some of the premium received but still feel comfortable holding these and waiting for theta burn.

Went long about $1k on front brakes, muffler and tires on my '95 Yukon dog hauler/grocery getter, but WTF, still less than 2 mos payments at 0% interest, plus I'd bitch about letting the springers in a new one anyway.

Yeah, I looked at the oil change sticker from a year ago - I put less than 4K miles on it in a year - I figure the new tires will die of old age rather than tread wear.

Bought AVL at 6.50. Taking a ride on the ree train while it is at cruising speed. At eod meant to buy SD, but didn't notice I hadn't changed the ticker in the stockbox. Bought more AVL by mistake at 6.70. Looks like a keeper anyway, ave pp is 6.56. Will look again at SD tomorrow.
