Up to 40+ on the Dow, back down to 18+, donk off some calls or try to cover them... all about Opex this week. Traditionally if the Friday before Opex is bullish, then Opex tends to be bullish. However that does not mean there won't be a lot of whiffle in between. ;D I sold ELON today for a 27% profit. I looked for calls to sell against it and it's just one of those option chains you really can't work with too much. I picked up some ELON 12.5 Jan calls for next to nothing, # contracts = same share count, so I can't really lose more than .10 per share, risk is known. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of smileys!

Been legging LVS options into January. Bit of a nothing day. Once mutual funds settle up less than 1/2%.

Rolled over my short LDK Dec. 12 puts for short Jan. 11 puts. Sold 15x Jan. puts for each 11x Dec. put, so cash neutral. Dec 12 puts had very little theta left, so I increased the amount of theta I collect each day.
My SVNT short Dec 15 calls, short Dec 11 puts and shart Dec 12 puts are all green. Dec 12 puts are currently in-the-money, so I'll probably roll those over on options expiration day, if SVNT stays under 12. I'm expecting SVNT to trade flat until earnings releases start to reflect Krystexxa sales in February.
My HGSI short Apr 26 calls are green, and my HGSI short Dec 24 puts are even. The Dec 24 puts are also currently in-the-money, so I'll probably roll those over as well, if needed. HGSI should also be flattish until the extended PDUFA date in March, unless there's an early decision or buyout rumors.
Flat is good for shorting options.

Added to my FAZ holdings - Can't get enough courage to buy FAS at these levels - Will wait it out - Did pick up some more ZTHO - I don't think we'll see many more shares sell for less than a buck - Hoping (and I emphasize hope) for $3 early next year - We'll see - Glad my bout with the flu is over - I got nailed big time - Hope everyone has a great evening and can't wait to see what Cos wants from 12 of us - See you tomorrow - Dave
