(Sorry for the late post, filling in for Cos ) I did not watch enough of the action to be able to do justice to the market wrap today; I know that we went way red for no reason, and went towards even for no reason (I think). All in all, it looks to me like the market was cautious and pessimistic coming out of the long weekend; this to me is a positive step, because only 3 or 4 weeks ago, there was absolutely no caution and panic buying was the fad. I would argue that a cautious and skeptical market is healthy if not uberbullish. I imagine breadth was negative today and that the Summation index was down yet again; it it getting all the closer to showing a turn I believe. Hope everyone made some money and will do so tomorrow. Regulars, please post your results along with your RDA of smileys.

Usual LVS scalp and writing new weekly puts and calls. Bought some VOXX and another no-hope solar stock that promptly tanked (the solar stock that is - VOXX went up). Up about 1.5% on my portfolio today and counting down to my Vegas trip next Monday. Also discovered that I am due a secondary distribution check on my Enron stock settlement - good for another $1,200. (what would have been REALLY good was never buying Enron in the first place).

HAL was good today. SVA down some. yall know i am not selling it. TGB ended up 3 cents but I am not green so .... Bought URRE and ONP. URRE ended a bit green for me. Bought very little. ONP ended red as a _____ fill in blank. and I bought a lot of it all day. Now comes the fun part. does it get back up or do I OWN it for god knows how long! Win some lose some. It has issues to work out. I am betting it will come out positively for the stock and for me...

-200M???
Good lord - I'd make them give me free trades for a year just for the heartattack that it would inevitably cause me upon seeing it!

Had another great day playing FAS/FAZ...
Last Wednesday, I bought back 2,000 FAZ that I had sold the day before for a $1,500 profit - Today, I sold those 2,000 FAZ for a $1,300 profit - I was tempted to start buying back those same 2,000 FAZ this afternoon but feel (I am hoping) I may be able to buy 'em back sub-$12 tomorrow.
Bought 500 FAS to lower my FAS AP and am currently holding 4,500 FAS (red) and 2,000 FAZ (nicely green) and again, I don't care how the market moves because my FAZ will get more green and I'll buy more FAS or my FAS will soon reach green at which point I'll start buying FAZ.
Going into tomorrow, I am averaging a $424 profit per trading day for the month of November (21 total days) and if I can somehow manage to generate $1,587 in profit tomorrow, I will hit the $500 per trading day for the month.
Since I have started this FAS/FAZ arbitrage trading in earnest (beginning of October), I have generated $15,600 in realized profit - I so love this sideways market.
I hope everyone has a great evening and look forward to seeing you tomorrow - Dave

Real LifeFFR was level at .20% - I feel that this was a good sign for the bulls that nothing unexpected happened over the long weekend. As I've mentioned, the longer we hold (and potentially move up) in the .20%s, the more I feel that this market is ready to explode to the upside. My FAS was green and did not appear to want to get all that red even when the market tried to. Monopoly world Big Cap - good day here, +2.9% thanks largely to IRE. Shoulda/woulda/coulda averaged down in the $1.50s (avg $1.65 on only 1x long position).. only 1 move -covered my F $15.92 / +2.8% allocation 68% long, 30% short, 2% cash scalp trades - no moves, still holding RIMM (unrealized +2.8%) and FAS (unrealized -5.7%), +1.5% on the day... to be honest, google has a glitch and I can't figure it out, thus my inaction here LOL. I sent them an email days ago. If GOOG is taking over the world, they better answer my goddamn support email Options account - good day here to come out of cash. Made a good amount today, +6.2% on current account size, but is a 39% gain on what the account started at. I am going to be lightening up this account and moving the funds into the much bigger and more conservative big cap account Made avg +30% / .83 on SPY weekly $116 calls from avg $2.77 - did not at all plan on this working out so well today. Probably should've held, but these were too far ITM and I wanted to roll into some a bit closer... a gap down tomorrow would be great ;D Date Opened Contracts Buy Price Sell Price Total Cost Proceeds Gain/Loss Gain Loss % 11/29/2010 SPY weekly $116 calls 100 $2.72 $3.70 $27200 $37000 $9,800.00 36.03% 11/29/2010 SPY weekly $116 calls 100 $2.73 $3.69 $27300 $36900 $9,600.00 35.16% 11/29/2010 SPY weekly $116 calls 100 $2.84 $3.63 $28400 $36300 $7,900.00 27.82% 11/29/2010 SPY weekly $116 calls 100 $2.95 $3.53 $29500 $35300 $5,800.00 19.66% 11/29/2010 SPY weekly $116 calls 100 $2.73 $3.56 $27300 $35600 $8,300.00 30.40% 11/29/2010 SPY weekly $116 calls 100 $2.75 $3.52 $27500 $35200 $7,700.00 28.00% 11/29/2010 SPY weekly $116 calls 100 $2.64 $3.57 $26400 $35700 $9,300.00 35.23% All in all accounts +7.2% on the day

Congrats to all on your successful trades, especially regarding Ireland...well played people!
Still sitting patient on 2200 shares of CLDX (wish I had waited a little longer with my AMRN position - it went ballistic yesterday). My pick was good, but the timing was off.
Sold my 75 shares of BIDU at a small profit ($25 - LOL) and bought in for 1575 shares of CYCC at 1.80 hoping for a move up this week due to a catalyst of information being released this weekend.
Holding my 100,000 of ACTC very tight! The stock has been as high as .25 in recent years and it will be there again, and then some.
