I didn't see all the action today but earlier the DOW was down 125 or so and closed only down 27. Nas flew. So I want to check back on that pattern because it feels familiar. It is the Monday after OPEX so I have to think there are some shenanigans going on. Still holding some CSCO Dec calls which are taking a drubbing as usual. I am excellent in buying calls and puts which go worthless. No trades. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of smileys.

Still sitting on my FAZ.
I am optimistic I will see 13's soon and plan to hold till I see reason not to.
I don't like sitting on these 3x's but I feel good about a market pull back. I hope to time it well and move seemlessly into FAS when it is over.

No trades today. I am just watching this market for now. Will go long over 1206 if it can get there. I feel that the trend is higher but not willing to chance it just yet. The higher it goes, the more tricky the market will become I am afraid to say Insider trading news? Well it could be somethin in the making if they do it right! I remember how they took down Drexel Burnham Lambert back in the day and that one was a classic ;D Lets hope Lloyd Blankfein and Jamie Dimons days of doing "God's work" are numbered ;D Hope everyone did great today and will continue to make those benjamins ad infinitum

As long as you know PUDA is a chinese coal company. It has pretty much doubled from Sept. 6.45 to 14.60. Then they of little faith dumped it before earnings i think and the china rate raise. But if you sorta bears believe the market is gonna pull back again or dump then u would not want to be in PUDA. Now if you sorta bears don't believe that Chian will raise again and the market ain't gonna dump then easing in here would be cool. But I stay away from china stocks now.

Last Thursday and Friday, I was able to buy back 2,000 (AP $11.8060) of the 4,500 shares of FAZ that I sold earlier last week for $1,100+ profit.
I should have bought the remaining 2,500 at Friday's close but decided to wait until Monday's action and of course we opened too high this morning and never got to a point where I wanted to buy more FAZ today.
I decided to sell 500 FAZ at $12.29 for a $200 profit today as well as bought another 500 FAS at $22.00.
Holding 3,000 FAS (too red) and 5,000 FAZ (nicely green) and while I would like to see some Happy Holiday up days to start exiting my FAS position for a profit and buy more FAZ, significant down will be fine for me to generate FAZ gains and buy FAS to lower my AP.
Hope everyone has a great evening and will see you tomorrow - Dave

Scalped LVS very nicely today and fooled around with weekly options. Very nice day - getting closer to recovering last week's loss.

Real LifeFFR was bullish to .21% from .20% - this is a good sign that despite the red move in the markets today, it appears that bailout weekend provided a nice little pop in bank lending My FAS red Monopoly World / real time entries tracked in my blog Big Cap - fairly slow day, moved a couple things around, -1.9% -Sold my CLF @ $69.02 for 6% -Sold 25% of my pretty big SOL position @ $9.74 for 5.7% -Bought more MS $24.72, now 4.5x long position avg $25.23 (-.7%) -Bought more BAC $11.26, now 6x long position avg $11.68 (-3.2%) Scalp trades - no trades, -2.3% on the day, still holding RIMM +3.4% and FAS -4.1% Options Acct - +.7% on the day, only one move -day traded $116 SPY dec calls from $4.08 to $4.68 for 15% - was initially trying to start a position, but it didn't get any cheaper to give me a chance to get back on so I took the gain. All in all, accounts -1.8% on the day

Got back in PCX with a starter position...a little early, but up a few pennies - 0.4% I really really like PCX. It is chugging along as my biggest holding in my IRA the last couple months after its nice surge. I'm beginning to think it might be my next CLF (I still own CLF shares from $20) in the next couple years

Ended the day on an up note, but it could have been more. Decided to increase my position of CLDX on a pullback, only to see it drop some more. I'll have to hang on for now. Also added to my ACTC position on what I thought was the low of a pullback, however, I'm happy with the purchase because these pennies can be volatile, so I'm expecting another wicked move to the upside.
Almost went in large again with BIDU, but something just didn't feel right yet. Although, it I don't think it drifts much longer. $120 is calling.
