It was down more when I looked earlier so I guess there are still buyers and good deals to be had. I strongly suggest everyone buy tons of BAC. No trades today. Hope everyone made money today and will do so tomorrow. Members please post your results along with your RDA of smileys.

Sold RDN for a nice gain, but pi$$ed because it could have been more if not for MerrillEdge having "system problems" today. In any event, I sold 1200 shares for approx. 10% gain ;D and moved into: AVNR - 1000 shares at 5.02 SOMX - 1445 shares at 3.42 ASTM - 900 shares at 3.33 SOHU - 218 shares at 80.00 Spring is coiled... For what it's worth: wish I realized PCLN was having earnings today...wasn't paying enough attention...Dang! Up 6% in AH.

Well - I started well premarket - shorting some LVS and felt pretty good for the first minute after the open. That didnt last long and I dug myself a >$10k hole early. Scalped like crazy all day and pretty much filled the hole. After mutual funds report I think I'll be up $4k. Shorting LVS is NOT a habit of mine - but the price action has been so weird lately that I think it's time to do so until the stock pulls back a few bucks (famous last words)

Sold some HGSI Nov 24 puts to add to my short put position. Looking for a positive FDA review on Nov. 12th, and FDA advisory panel on the 16th.
LDK released earnings after market close. I am short Nov. 13 Calls and Nov 11 and 14 puts. Peak earnings between 13 and 14, break even at 11.50 and 15.50. After earnings, LDK spiked up to 14.50 and is currently trading at 14.08. Looking good, so far...
Tomorrow, I have MBI earnings (I'm short Nov 13 puts). Then, on Wednesday, I have TGB earnings. Busy week for me!

Made 1.5% on SPXU and exited my position. Bought a small amout of Fas @25.88s; hoping to flip it on any gap up Tuesday. Shorting feels so right because it is most likely so WRONG! Shorts should be on a one minute time frame; we are thus far getting rolling corrections at best For all the talk about European debt issues, most everyone bought up IRE and DPK sold-off which is a good sign for the bulls There was something for both bulls and bears today so I know almost everyone here made good money today and I hope everyone will continue to do so ;D

Real LifeFFR was bearish to .18% and is now in "Get Your Parachutes On Watch" territory. That is 2 straight bearish moves, both following the market closing at new 52 wk highs. I find this quite significant and am on the lookout for further deterioration; .16% is the Deployment level on risk assets I see it. My 1/2 FAS was down - I mentioned today in Sloop's thread that my goal on the half I had sold $24.90 is to grab it back at $22.50/23. Monopoly World / real time entries tracked in the blog - fairly level day even though the market was red (I am short). Big Cap was down slightly on the day, -.7% Sold 75% of my remaining CHK @ 22.59, 22.68, 22.72 for approx 1.6% on a very big position, down from a 4x long position to a normal 1x long Added to LVS short $51.95, 53.38, avg now $53.73 on 6.5x short position New short SLW @ $34.77 Now 92% short, 8% long Scalp trades Acct - very good day here, +7.1% and new high (+62.4% overall) -Sold my FAZ held over the weekend @ $10.58 & 10.64 for 2.3% -day traded RIG (short) from $67.27 to $66.60 (1%) -day traded FAS $25.40 & $25.50 to $25.69 & $25.67 for .9% -bought FAZ $10.73, $10.70, $10.61, avg $10.66 unrealized -.4% / holding overnight Options Account - slightly down -1.6% on the day added to my SPY $124 Nov puts @ $2.32, 2.29, 2.19, 2.20, 2.07 Avg now $2.25 / unrealized -3.1%

With QEI & QEII in progress + standard TOMOs, it doesn't even matter. Every day is a "POMO" day in the sense you mean... actually that has been the case for the past 18 months.

My heart and soul is not where it s/b.
The uncertainty of the Market/Gubmint is making it hard to trade with any kind of confidence - Ended up buying 500 FAS at $26.15 and for now I'm happy but still concerned with my FAZ position.
That being said, I had to pull away from all your great posts today and focus my attention on saving a major portion of my retirement business - I do recordkeeping for some very complicated non-qualified deferred compensation plans (use discounted, ITM options written on mutual funds) and my business partner of 13 years made a mistake that has put 90% of my business at risk.
My clients love the work that I do but they hate the fact that my partner didn't rectify the mistake any sooner than he did.
Now I know how a lot of people are feeling who have lost jobs and wonder how they are going to make it - I fall asleep ok at night (because I am exhausted) but when I wake up in the morning (usually much earlier than I want to), it's really hard to fall back asleep.
As I think about my future, I try to envision making enough money trading and maybe that's why I am becoming exceedingly anxious about being so heavily invested from 1 perspective (short with FAZ now and have been on the other side with FAS before).
At least I have some assets to work with but for those that don't who are caught up in this housing morass - My heart goes out to them.
I gotta go but do look forward to catching up with you tomorrow - Yall make me smile in your own quirky ways - Dave

thought about buying PCLN options.. saw they were bloated as heck last night.. wanted to do a OTM scalp but it did squat during reg hours.. nice movement after tho.. Figured we would open down today and run up a little, so i threw out a limit order on 3 Fas 29 calls.. yeah got those at the HOD of .38.. lol.. Should have set the limit a bit lower. Those are going to be my little lotto tickets.. ready with mostly cash.. eyeing AAPL options as the premiums are still fairly low and it might be making a run for it soon.. interesting times these

No, I own BP from $30 - I'm saying that I ignored all the bankruptcy noise with that one because it just didn't make sense. BAC is the same
