For those naysayers who thought we'd never see a wrap today... Viola! Looks like a reversal of yesterday's reversal? I didn't watch the action today. Will need to study the charts over the weekend and see what's really cooking. Seems like continued market indecision. I am somewhat happy that we've held this level for so long. It means it's possible the supply overhang has been consumed from post flash-crash. Never can be sure though No trades. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so on Monday. Members, please post your results along with your RDA of smileys!

No trades today. Basicly watched my aapl $270 call options loose money and CRUS give back some gains.
Hopefully we are consolidating. It was discouraging that we had good economic data hit 1157 and gave back gains.
We have earnings starting next week with Yum on Tuesday, Costco and Monsanto Wednesday, Alcoa and Pepsi on Thursday.
Monday pending home sells, ADP Employment Report Wednesday, Jobless Claims Thursday, and the big one Employment Situation Friday
My bet is that we breakout one way or the other by next Friday.

Did several LVS scalps for small profits today. Beyond that, LVS and the rest of my portfolio (except for SKX) did well. +$20k for a nice start to the quarter.

No trades this week - unlost a bit more in my Employee Stock plan which had it's quarterly automated average-down on Monday. Total acct balance hit a new 1,879 week high - up 31.24% since 2/27. (Mostly due to saving efforts and focusing a lot more on "not losing" vs "gaining" ) Still ~134% away from my ultimate goal.

The FFR closed out the Quarter at .19% (rebalanced overnight last night so we look to yesterday's number) - this is quite bullish when one considers that Q2 closed on 6/30 with it at .15%. This is in the middle of the breakout range (.17%-.21%) since July 1 and at the .19% or above level I call the 'all clear' signal for the bulls. My real life FAS went up some more today, still waiting for the power move I know is coming. An active Friday in the Monopoly world tracked in the blog, and a very good one. Big Cap saw some net sells overall; sold my SLW early for breakeven / slight green - thought process there was that my GOLD short is kicking my butt but I trust it. At this point SLW could roll over just as strongly in which case my hedge is not hedging me so much. I have plenty of other exposure to the market. I also sold half of what was a double RIMM position for strong gain 6.6% / $8K, and half of what was a triple CLF position for strong gain as well 5.1% / $8K. Both were average downs, CLF's a 3x average down. Buys were HPQ $41.76 & SIRI $1.22, both rebuys of sells from past weeks. SIRI I had to chase, HPQ lower than my sell. Down to 75% invested from 80%, +2.9% on the day Scalp trades closed out FAS held overnight @ $21.68 for 1.6%, bought FAS again 2 entries $21.43/$21.28, sold $21.48 and $21.80 for 1.2%, bought BIDU $99.90 and $98.80 (unrealized -.7%), bought HPQ $40.46 and $40.36 (unrealized +.8%), and day traded FAZ from $13.16 to $13.08 (-.7%). 43% cash, +6.2% on the day options acct no moves, SPY $116 Oct calls were up 9% on the day, still holding - unrealized 9% gain. Accounts all combined +3.6% on the day. Market was down slightly on the week, so that makes it even better that I had a good one: (77% of net worth) Big Cap account was up 3.6% this week and took a 3.7% lead over the market since inception (+7% overall). The biggest position in the account is my GOLD short as a hedge which is now down 10% - I have to average up on it soon (19% of nw) Scalp Trade account was up 10.8% this week, and is up 27.6% overall. Still not more than a few trades over 2%, which is the most interesting thing to me... going to take a closer look over the weekend. (4% of nw) Options account is red by -28% this week and -24% overall. Those calls I held went from 50% gain to 9% gain... not good trading there. Overall, "net worth" has increased from $1.377M to $1.436M this week, 4.5%. 10.5% gain overall from $1.3M

Sold most everything today around 12:30.. got bored out of the market 2 AAPL 290 puts.. One i picked up this morning for 9 another i had at 8.50 - sold 9.75 4 AZO calls avg price 4 sold 3.60 10 AMD Calls bought .33 finally sold .44.. I still think AAPL is going to drop to 260ish but will reload on monday on confirmation.. I guess it could go either way as today was not bearish at all as I was expecting.. After Earnings i expect it to skyrocket as long as the market is not tanking So overall about even on the day.. I really want to trade weekly options but have no access ATM... so the intraday plays i keep seeing aren't too profitable.. I guess a call going to 11 from 9 in 20 mins is good.. stupid greed always messing with profits

2 SDS combo trades, one roundtrip was a successful one, realized gain of 23 cents or net realized profit of $230 per contract. one trade is still open, down 4 cents, or 40 per contract. CENX keeps going up.. if it goes up on Monday I will close the position... ATEC was up nicely on good news www.orthoworld.com/knowent/creaspine_100110.pdfIt was portfolio up day but CENX by itself almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory..

Hey there King what's up buddy?? not too much man. just refining my strategy. lol. been very focused on trading crude oil exclusively. i used to hate oil because it was so volatile, but i think i'm finally getting the hang of it. lol. its like trying to hitch a ride on a greased pig. lol. haven't been back to fastopia in a while but its nice to be back. and i never thought i'd say this but trading is getting kinda boring. HA!
