hey bud, i got fas feb 64 calls, im still kinda new to options so i need some help. ive never actually held them for this long b4 and posibly exp. am i best to sell these or let em expire or do i have the right to buy the shares at 64? just woundering if u can point me in a direction.

You have the right to buy the shares at 64 (100 shares for every contract you have) AFTER Opex if it closes above $64. I'd say you're probably better off selling your options prior to opex and not have to worry about buying the shares at all, but depends on your strategy I would say.

thank you, tuff for me to learn through books i had to get my feet wet. How many calls do you own if you don't mind me asking? To purchase 100 shares of FAS (= 1 Call) will cost you $7K is why I ask. That's why I said you're better off selling your options prior to expiration. Just to clarify... GL.

Grant I could not tell you if it is a good idea to hold them to expiration or not since that requires biasness on my part about where I think FAS price may be at time of opex. If the options expire in-the-money, you will be assigned shares at 64$. So you better have the money in your account for that purchase. If not, unload them in pre-market on Monday following the opex assignment. If you think FAS may still rise, hold them. If you think FAS may drop into opex, sell them. Not much of an answer, I know.
