Depends on how you view the system. Sure it's a good thing for the current system for debt levels to increase and for people to spend money they don't have... that's what the Fed is trying to do by pumping free money into anything and everything.
Of course one could argue that it only speeds us towards our eventual destruction (since this world system based on debt is not sustainable in the long term)... but I think this is further down the road than we need to worry about right now.
