Funny for Bernanke to be able to mumble those words and save the market. How many times will he be able to do that.

Yeh that IS weird esp since I posted this last nite: Fed's Bernanke Speech Monday 4-9-2012 - Last week Bernanke met with bank execs ~ Also, Earnings, Fed talk, economic data this week ... Related article .. link .. Fed Report Next Week May Drive Currency Markets ...
Federal Reserve Chief, Bernanke, speech in Georgia , Monday, April 9 2012
Fed's Bernanke will speak in Georgia On Monday evening april 9 2012 , the Fed chief will deliver a speech on fostering financial stability at a conference organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta in Stone Mountain, Georgia at 7:15 p.m. ET . Analysts at Deutsche Bank said Bernanke may make comments on the latest employment data.
The Fed Chairman Bernanke is due to deliver a speech regarding the Financial Stability and how to sustain it; this hawkish speech might bring another positive trend for the Global Stock market and US dollar. Since, the Fed chairman Bernanke’s remark can really move the markets not only in American but globally.Either I didn't catch that last nite or I got early onset ALZ....btw what is this place? There is something drastically wrong with that article. Although dated today, it must be from last week. Can you spot the flaws? One could start with the fact that European markets are closed today. This wouldn't be the first time Forexpros gave a bum steer. Bernanke’s Comments Trigger Stock Market Rally: April 9, 2012 By Binary Options Strategy Asian markets traded mixed on Monday following Friday’s disappointing home sales data from Wall Street. The Nikkei rose .1% to 10018, the ASX 200 slipped .2%, and the Kospi dropped .4%. In China, the Shanghai Composite rose fractionally, and the Hang Seng settled flat. European markets rallied in the afternoon as comments by Fed Chairman, Bernanke, suggested further economic easing was likely. Bernanke said the economy must grow quicker to produce more jobs, and suggested that process could be aided by government policies. The DAX climbed 1.2%, the FTSE advanced .8%, and the CAC40 gained .7%. Germany’s IFO business activity report rose unexpectedly, contributing to the gains. US stocks posted large gains, encouraged by the Bernanke’s remarks. The Nasdaq surged 1.8%, the S&P 500 climbed 1.4%, and the Dow advanced 161 points to 13242

RENN still looks like accumulation to me, even on a big down day like this.
Looking for an upside breakout move if it manages to rise above $5.62.

My TYH is recovering nicely today. A low volume 3x makes me nervous, but I'm warming up to the idea since TNA is no longer the golden child.

Looks to me (on the daily) like the 50 is gonna cross the 20 for a bearish cross and the 200 is already at 5.96 even if it does break-out it ain't going far...not saying ya can't execute a few good flips though!!! CAT in the dumps today, not a good sign. Looking at 5yr weekly charts on the indexes, I feel like any good spring back this week is a sell.

S&P needs to break above 1383.25 for bulls to even have a chance today. This is the 23.6% FIB retrace from Thursday's close to today's low. Thursday's down move never got higher than that retrace mark, so if it does, should get some short squeeze ammo. If it doesn't, this sell-off will be here awhile. I'm hoping it does, and we get a slow grind today and tomorrow back into the 1390's. Come on Hand, you can do it. It's only 3 S&P points from here.

In the last 6 months anything that looked close to the technicals I'm seeing today on small caps has been a buy. Not feelin it today. Market psychology has changed Sold that IVAN for a $1K profit-is-profit didn't like the looks of the chart w/ 200, 50 and 20 in beary formation and all the talk about oil having peaked.

Hey, where'd all the bears go? Even though things are looking better, this action today has left me a little uneasy about the spring trading. Better turnaround quick, me no likey extended stays around the 50 MA! And, early morning speculators have backed away from AA. I hate that AA leads off earnings.

I like BAC to fill the gap to 9.11 possibly 9.23 also this week. Also, keeping an eye on gap 8.50-8.56.

CAT lit HOD a few moments ago, following JPM and WFC's turns at the bar. Tech seems to be in its own world, although the NAS isn't all that impressive, GOOG and AAPL are continuing their horse race, both hitting LOD within a penny of each other.
