Sold short positions. Long some AERL again...makes me nervous though because my buy filled lower than the ask. I don't get this market...hence the name of huh? Got a buy partially filled on AERL at 6.45, yet the ask and last trade never moved under $6.50 in TDA or the charts at the time. Now, TDA shows the last trade at 6.42, but my partial buy order is still open at 6.45. How can a stock trade below an open buy order?

I beginning to think we have a couple of more days of this selling before we hit a bottom or begin to consolidate. It's been a stellar Q1 - Q2 has no where to go if we keep this toppy area. SAR switch on SPY 6-mo chart today, it's coming on XLF and IWM.

Bought some NBG as a spec play. Expecting it will go down more, but technicals showed a tap of a lower support line (a downtrend line at that). Might not hold very long.
Did someone disable the buy buttons on all of the brokers out there?

Did someone disable the buy buttons on all of the brokers out there? It's a conspiracy! THEY want the market to go down, so THEY just ignore you! THEY are back!

Okay - the UUP's 10min has reversed from exceeding its 200MA: the bulls are saved (at least for the moment) ther Bernank better not quit selling $dollars at this point.

I have a headache. This new world weather is killing me. 80 to 40, back to 75, then to 40 again.
Spike Lee tweeted what he thought was George Zimmerman's address.

Not sure of this specific instance but one way it would happen is if your trigger to buy is an "all or none"...if you only want the trade to execute if you can buy all the shares at the buy price, there may be someone who is willing to sell at a price lower than your bid but an insufficient volume (# of shares) to fulfill your order thus not making triggering the trade You'd have to look at level II and see how many shares traded at that lower level to see if that's what happened
