most of you know I used to program in one of my previous lives, and it is surprisingly useful....funny how past skills you never thot would be of any use pop up. fe, when my counts start to fail, I figure the algos get that too many have caught the pattern cuz they will start to fail by same amt, which would be easy to code. waht I think is funny is I imagine it is rather like a computer-computer battle. the big hedge funds, market makers, "vectorvests", whoever, program their computers to pick up the pattern, then the "other guys" computers picks up that the pattern has been busted and people are starting to make $$$, so it decides to drop into a random part of code; add instead of subtract, or log versus linear, wahtever.....then the other computers pick up this change......and so on and so on.........

somebody did something that moved the entire market in 1 minute at 2:10, and now we are right back to where we were before the move
Could be accumulation, but it could be just HFTs. If there is a way to tell the difference, let me know.
My guess is that it was HFTs or other programmed trades, because if someone was looking to accumulate they would be more subtle.
All just speculation on my part.
