Contest Name: The Road To Opex V
Begins: Monday, March 14. 2011 at 8:00:00am EDT
Ends: Friday, March 18, 2011 at 4:00:00pm EDT
Who can enter: Open to all members
Prize: 1st Place: Fastopiaware! 2nd Place: More Fastopiaware! 3rd Place: Even More Fastopiaware!
In this contest, you win by executing the best 1-week Swing Trade. How often have we been a victim of "If I Had Just Held It Longer?" 1st Place is awarded to the contestant with the highest portfolio value, 2nd Place is awarded to the contestant with the 2nd highest portfolio value, and so on, as of 4:00pm Friday March 18, 2011. Here's how it worksAfter doing your Due Diligence, you place a single trade on Monday, March 14th, that you will hold until Opex close. (Have more than 1 choice ready, see below.) You are provided $50,000 bernankebucks (1 bernankebuck = 1 USD) to start, and you should purchase as many shares as you can for that amount. You must place your trade by 4:00pm on March 14th. More below in the section How to place your trade. Once your trade is executed, that's it! It's a veritable Ron Popiel dream environment... set it, and forget it. You cannot change or modify your trade, and you can only have 1 trade in the contest. On March 18th your portfolio will be revalued based on the official close price published by Google. How to place your trade
You will execute your trade by making a post in this thread at some point on Monday, March 14th. You will enter your trade in a format similar to: When FAS is showing 23.00 on the Ask, Bought 2173 shares of FAS at 23, total 49,979. Bernankebucks 21.00 or in Shorthand: Cosmic@FAS@23.00 You may only trade stocks or ETF's. No options, no shorts. A short ETF is allowed. IF someone else has already placed a trade for the same symbol, you MUST choose another stock or ETF. A duplicate entry will be invalid, and the original entry will be the official entry. The price you purchase at must be consistent with the time your post is published. Discrepancies will invalidate your entry. No illiquid, gray-market, or Bid/Ask impaired stocks where a Bid/Ask is not easily determined. An illiquid stock is one where your $50K order would exceed the average daily volume. ADV must be at least 5X the number of shares you would purchase for the contest. If your trade is determined to be of this nature you will be notified and can make a different trade. All trades will use 2 decimal positions (no partial penny bids or asks) Once you have placed your trade, you may not change it. The forum notes modifications to posts so DO NOT go back and modify your contest entry at any time. If the post is modified it is considered invalid and you will not be able to re-enter. This is critical – there can be no exceptions, so conduct your Due Diligence carefully and enter your trade with confidence. The final winner will be announced on the evening of March 18th. MiscellaneousComments regarding the contest can be posted in the forum. The contest thread will be locked until Monday March 14th at 8:00am. Always check the official spreadsheet (Link will be provided in this thread) to ensure your order was entered correctly. Good Luck All Contestants!

Clemson@TKRFF.PK@.46 for 108,695 shares ... If your trade is determined to be of this nature you will be notified and can make a different trade.I am not the decision maker here so I will let Cos decide just wanted to give you a heads up.....................GL

Clemson@TKRFF.PK@.46 for 108,695 shares ... Plus the ask is currently .51 and PK stocks don't trade in PM - would have to wait until the market opens and see how much volume there is to it. Looks like the daily trading volume not much over $50K

I took a look at TKRFF.PK and I agree that it doesn't fit the requirements because of volume.

Which means I really could buy it with said perameters we are under... I'll still take it @.51

I'll still take it @.51 I show, according to Google, that the average daily volume barely hits 50K shares, which at current price is $25K, so it doesn't work. www.google.com/finance?q=tkrff

Now, I did check the historical price page, and it shows a different set of volumes than the chart pages at Google. So I got out my calculator fingers (haven't been used since the 90's) and ran a quick tape from the 3/11/2011 - 1/27/2011 and did the average. It is 91904.33 shares, clearly below the 5X mark. What also makes that 91904 number significant is the '0' key on my calculator didn't work, so I used '1' as a replacement. Which means on 2/15/2011 when 30,000 shares traded, I used 31,111 shares in my math. Which means my average of 91904.33 is actually HIGHER than the real average for those days because I have a broken 0 key Please pick another.

My broker and I giggle like kids whenever I buy it in real life. But more importantly that's usually about the time I want my first smoke of the day... so I am truly SOL on that
