$$flos i/d so short term, but out of china/gold/copper, into banks I'm with you, Bro, a little downside would feel good Sure would, I'd love to buy those paper longs I sold late last week and also that half of FAS I sold... To me it just seems like everyone's convinced that there is *NO* risk of downside now; this is the same bi-polar behavior we saw in Jan vs. April. Now it is July vs. November - to me, the answer is always what no one expects. I'm thinking that no one expects a swift fall. And I'm thinking that when we get that swift fall to 1170ish, no one will expect it to recover... So there's the playbook, Clint's robot logic: do the opposite! agree, not time to get greedy, lighten and let a little ride

Carl F's long view: 1.bp.blogspot.com/_sL6ril9lDkw/TNg1OssQz_I/AAAAAAAACco/xAuzNNHplCA/s1600/101108+1230+pm.jpgHere is a weekly bar chart of the cash S&P 500. Last week the market reached new highs for the bull market which began from the 666 level in March of 2009. I have drawn a parallel trend channel which I think has a good chance of encompassing this new bull market up leg. In this previous post I explained how Lindsay's three peaks and a domed house formation predicted a top for early April, 2011. I have drawn a green oval at the top of the trend channel centered on the early April target date. This target zone is roughly the 1450 level. Such an advance would be a 25% rally from current levels and a 45% move up from the July 2010 low. That is where I think this market is headed.

ukarlewitz $MVIS heading for more lows. Already @ the 52 week low. A good example of danger in averaging down. I hope you are out, Fastopians

I would feel more bullish if we could get a nice big down candle here - does that make sense?

That VIX chart today has gotta be one of the coolest things I've ever seen, just a straight line down from the gap up.
