I hear ya - wish I had waited longer but I'm still stunned APWR got as cheap as it did; i did tell Timber i thought APWR at $40/50 in 5 years was in my sights and that i was hoping for even better than that, so I better just wait it out lol gold scares the crap out of me, but i know not many would agree CNL now 7.68 on 449K vol (up +11% today..at least at the moment)

I'd think it was a good sign that the market is +120 and we haven't seen bullishly skewed TICKS. But then again I'm no UK when it comes to tick reading lol

fyi
looking at the VIX, it bottomed 4/12/10 - FFR topped 4/14/10 - market topped 4/26/10 - FOMC meeting 4/27/10
as of now, the FFR topped on 9/26 so far. i wonder if it doesn't have a retest of .21% in it soon unless the VIX turns back up sharply in coming days. FOMC meeting 11/2-11/3 this time around..

Youre right about the ticks. No blow outs means a grind higher as breadth is at your back. But even in the last two days, big pos ticks have small retracements. More importantly, mark the new POMO days on your calendar, starting with Opex Friday. I'm reminded on that previous post, the one where the bear on fire just ran past the window. www.newyorkfed.org/markets/tot_operation_schedule.html

HAHA UK that bear on fire post was/is classic. I came across it a week or so ago when I was looking for something in a PPDT thread and almost fell over laughing when I saw it again
