Spy has finally cracked through the vwap. That vwap has been solid S the last two days.
The Qs are now flat from the open and could form a black bar if we sell the close. Also, as far as I can see, it made a perfect hit of the monthly line on the Mikey Monthly Charts thread.

Stocks have pulled back from their session highs, but they continue to trade with broad-based gains. Those gains have helped the stock market to a modest year-to-date gain.
Though the S&P 500 has managed to cross the line that separates a year-to-date gain from a year-to-date loss --1115 -- many pundits believe that a close above 1120 should be regarded as a bullish sign.

Spy daily gap closed, intraday gap still ajar.
Qs and Semis both forming a really excellent black bars. The Qs has a nice high wick with the body in the bottom 1/4 (reverse of the RIG one discussed earlier). Xlf has a similar one.

Trigger, why no karma? someone smiting you? one coming your way. Thank you Kess. Aw, I was playing around with a thread called "smite me oh mighty smiter" (from Bruce Almighty) and asked folks to smite me to see if they would. Well, they did. So self-inflicted.

Semis: black bar and below double top. Looks identical to Jan top. Grim. Qs: High wick candle, black bar, touch and reversed on monthly down trend line. Spy: black bar. Tied for crappy volume of the year. Small caps: Double top. Looks the best of all sectors. Transports: Two high wick candles in a row, at the double top, the last one red. Not pretty. Xlf: high wick candle, black bar. Series of three lower highs forming. Not pretty. Vix: green reversal bar (opened near low, gap from prior close, ended higher). Could be prettier but looks like prior reversal candles at bottom. Nymo: will show nyse overbought for just the third time since August.
good nite!

Final chart of the Nasdaq futures, like the close below $1,850 quotes.ino.com/chart/?s=CME_NQ.H10.E&v=s&w=15&t=c&a=2Held my shorts (AKS/X/AAPL/CREE) and my VXX long Still holding my horrendously-performing not-so-balanced portfolio in my IRA: EDZ down 6% ERY down 6% TZA down 8% FAZ down 9% DRV down 10% Despite being down about 8% on this latest run I'm still up about 6% from December when I started tapping the IRA funds for trading - due to some good short plays in FAZ/DRV then long plays in F/MVIS/FCX/CEF.

UK I like the candle close overview - that's might have to become a daily addition on (potentially) significant closes like today's - I'm feeling MUCH more confident that we will retrace some here... And damn the 15-min delay on that Q futures chart - we didn't close below $1,850 - oh well - like you UK i just make this stuff up too I'm sure it's not significant (despite that rising hourly - that needs to break) And I love this chart you posted on the Mikey's Monthly Chart thread: img12.imageshack.us/img12/724/14151699.jpgWe are right on that line. The rest of this week should be interesting! GN all!

Hi All! Hope you're doing great!...Mikey I feel your pain...2/3's loaded in swing account for reversal....Hate this vix at 18....not my style, so I guess i can be a little lazy...I've got so much noise with itms in the background and cnbc.... on top of the screens...how do you handle it all UK? thought i'd take a break from this wonderful thread to see what i'm missing....nothing....absolutely nothing. Spent a couple days at the tracks too...not betting but looking at horses....nice change with this low vix...There really is a sun outside...almost forgot. Hope everything is going great for you all!

Add one more to the list above: FXI: black bar right at the 200dma. Wow. The one big positive I can see is the UUP. Flat top over the past week. One thing I picked up from Oscar is flat tops usually lead to drops. Good to hear from you Cash. You should come hang out tomorrow; this thread needs to be spiced up.

I'll have a word with the Master Control Programmer and see what can be done about that cash! I just noticed I was a Broker/Dealer, but as you know it'd be more accurate if it were just "Broke"!!!!
LOL
Well Uk and the Gang are doing their best to keep the thread going w/ some "Most Excellent" analysis, but HOW could it possibly be working at full throttle without you cash? Glad to hear yer getting some ultra-violence (sun) down there and enjoying the ponies. Someday I'll have to tell you about the first time I went to the track w/ the guy who's lawn I mowed (age 14) and picked him ponies which won him the trifecta that day. No kiddin'...unfortunately I think he drunk my portion of the winnings!
LOL!!!

In addition to that listed above, we also had a black bar in AAPL today and a very nice topping tail candle in USO. Finally, looks like a possible double top in DIA. Call me Commodityy.
