I think selling the 105/100 bull put spread and buying the bull 110/115 call spread in BIDU is a very lucrative trade if we hold above 1200 for a credit of about $1. Obviously a 4 legged trade and would need some managing.

As stated yesterday I am more convinced that this is looking like beginning of september as the past few days looked like the end of august when we couldnt break through support. Post of the day right here, nice call CC - definitely does look that way to me too

Whipsaw markets loose people money and are hard to trade.

so much short-covering, not sure it's a buying rally sometimes thats how they start though, ala positive feedback loops... there are a lot of commercial shorts so if they cover then we would see a huge rally. Still though i agree its not necessarily sustainable unless we see follow thru and buying interest.

Hey all, and congrats to A2L and ABdog once again! We are the lucky ones to have you both. Don't you hate it when "real work" keeps you away from this board? In any event, in our last bat episode, Carl F was insisting we head down to 1130-50 before heading to 1300. His mother having not raised any fools, he has revisited this thinking. Here is a five point box, one box reversal, point and figure chart showing e-mini trading going back to the late August low. I had been expecting a continuation of the drop from the 1224 high in early November down to a prospective 1152 low. But the market's action today has changed my mind. The rally to 1207 so far looks like a genuine breakout from an extensive base that was built after the drop to the 1171 low made on November 16. My advancing issues oscillators are oversold and the cash S&P kissed its rising 50 day moving average yesterday. Moreover, the market has traded sideways for two weeks in the face of a torrent of bad news from Europe. These facts provide a bullish context which tells me to take the move above the 1200 level as a definite bullish indication. A count across this base projects a target of 1275. 3.bp.blogspot.com/_sL6ril9lDkw/TPaSMlA8FzI/AAAAAAAACdg/apCNI7j43so/s1600/101201%2B120%2Bpm.jpgThis of course means we should dump right about now.

Amazing! 1275, of course I'm going to round this up in my head to 1300 plus the 1300 chant has been sitting idle for sometime now maybe time to dust it off.
